Police Blotter: Possession, Creeping Peeper, Felon with a Weapon

Naperville Police Department reports, March 7

Wednesday, March 7 

Controlled substance

Karen Haislip, 49, of the 100 block of Steamboat Lane in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 7:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Naper Boulevard, said. She was charged with unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance, and taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant

Sierra Amanda Terry, 18, of the 7000 block of Winthrop Way in Downers Grove, was arrested at 10:16 p.m. in the 100 block Testa Drive, police said. She was charged on a failure to appear warrant. She was released to another law enforcement agency.

Criminal damage

  • Katherine Jeann Kanney, 40, of the 200 block of East Fifth Avenue, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. in the first block of Oakwood Drive, police said. She was charged with criminal damage to a vehicle and assault. Her bond was $150.
  • A 61-year-old man in the 2700 block of Modaff Road reported someone opened his fence gate sometime on Saturday, police said. He reported someone broke a wooden slat on his fence Tuesday.  

Possession

  • Jessica Lynn Scarzone, 19, of the 11S000 block of West Street, was arrested at 11:46 p.m. at Reflection Drive and 95th Street, police said. She was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. Her bond was $120.
  • Darien Myles Hutchinson, 18, of the 1900 block of Windstone Drive in Plainfield, police said. He was arrested at 11:39 p.m. at Reflection Drive and 95th Street. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, two counts of theft and no front/rear plate displayed. His bond was $120. 

Unlawful possession

Roderick Duane Herte, 41, of the 300 block of Chilvers Court, was arrested at 5:50 p.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He was transported to Will County Jail.

Disorderly conduct

Steven Richard Meyers, 37, of 1000 block of Hillcrest Lane in Woodridge, was arrested at 10:21 p.m. in the 1600 block of Country Lakes Drive, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and unlawful window peeping. He was seen peeping into a woman’s home on three different occasions. The most recent incident took place while she was on the phone with police. He was found behind the building and was arrested. His bond was $1,500. 

Theft

A 40-year-old man in the 2200 block of Foxboror Lane reported that solar lights were stolen between Feb. 28 and Tuesday, police said.
