Police Blotter: Possession, a Stolen Vehicle and Strange Phone Calls

Wednesday, Sept. 28

Possession

  • Vincent Michael Buttimer, 20, of the 5200 block of Washington Street, Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. in the 500 block of West Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive on a warrant and for possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. His bail was $1,500.
  • Mariah Nicole Moore, 19, of the 5200 block of Washington Street, Downers Grove, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. at Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive on charges of possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving without a license plate permit displayed.
  • Jonathan Matthew Klimek, 21, of the 400 block of Millcreek Court, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at West Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive on charges of possession of cannabis, less than 2.5 grams, and violating a bail bond, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Ryan Joseph Reynolds, 28, of the 1000 block of Heritage Hill Drive, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. at East Gartner Road and South Charles Avenue on two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and operating without insurance, said. His bail was $3,000.

Warrant arrest

Michael Edward Kwilos, 48, of the 5100 block of Fairview Drive, Downers Grove was arrested at 12:36 a.m. in the 100 block of North Church Road on an original warrant for theft/deception, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. His bail was $30,000.

Jason M. Pierson, 31, of the 20000 block of Brookwood Drive, Olympia Fields, was arrested at 12:09 p.m. in the 100 block of West Ogden Avenue and North Webster Street, where he was charged on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County, police said.

Theft

Ryan Gilcrest, 19, of the 900 block of Genesse Court, was arrested at 12 p.m. in the 700 block of North Route 59 on a warrant and charged with theft. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Disorderly conduct

A 22-year-old woman in the 400 block of Valley Drive reported receiving calls between Sunday and Wednesday from different men who claimed they had obtained her phone number from different locations where it was posted stating “to call her for a good time,” police said.

Stolen vehicle

An 18-year-old woman in the 1100 block of Aurora Avenue reported that between 5:40 p.m. Tuesday and 4:38 p.m. Wednesday, a black 2000 Mercury Mountaineer was stolen from a parking lot, police said.
