Police blotter: Parts Stolen Off a Car and Broken Windows

Wednesday, Oct. 18

Vehicle burglary

A 50-year-old man in the 4300 block of Camelot Circle reported that a large landscaping rock was thrown at a vehicle window, setting off the car alarm, said. Valuables left inside were not taken and the person who threw the rock was apparently scared away by the alarm.

Theft

A 56-year-old woman in the 1700 block of West Ogden Avenue reported someone pried the hood open on her 1999 GMC Jimmy and removed two cover plates from the belt assembly while it was parked in a lot between 10:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 14, police said.

Criminal damage

  • A 42-year-old woman in the 2900 block of Cedar Glade Drive reported that a large window on the north side of her townhouse was broken between noon Monday and 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
  • Someone reported that a person attempted to pry open a rear door but was unable to gain entry to a building in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 9 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
