Police Blotter: Overzealous Neighbor, Possession, Battery

Naperville Police Department reports, June 9-12.

SUNDAY, June 12

Possession of cannabis

Police said Andrew Todd Lewis, 24, of the 1300 of Modaff Road was arrested at 11:38 p.m. at Benedetti Drive and Ogden Avenue and charged with violating the lights and lamps act and for possession of cannabis more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams. Bond was set at $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Eileen Elizabeth Kelly, 24, of 50 block of Hawkins Circle, Wheaton, was arrested at 10:12 p.m. at Fairway Drive and Diehl Road and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed, driving too fast for conditions and speed, according to police. Bail was set at $3,000.

James Anthony Ramsden, 27, of the 3400 block of Keller Lane was arrested at 2:47 a.m. at Lighthouse Drive and East Bailey Road and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use, according to police. His bail was set at $3,000.

Retail theft

Police said Antoneio Damarrie Clash Johnson, 20, of the 2100 block of Walcott Road, Aurora was arrested at 7:33 p.m. in the and charged with retail theft. Bail set at $1,500.

Anthony Dean Wade, 23, of the 200 block of North View Street, Aurora, was arrested at 3:16 p.m. at 428 S. Route 59 and charged with retail theft. His bail was set at $120, according to police.

Damaging property

John Paul Jones, 49, of the 16100 block of Huron Street in Crest Hill was arrested at 3:22 a.m. in the 300 block of Robin Hill Drive and charged with knowingly damaging property, according to police. His bail was set at $1,500.

Battery, resisting an office

Jose Alanis, 34, of 4700 Glison Court, Plainfield was arrested at 2:23 a.m. at West Van Buren Avenue and South Washington Street, according to police. He was charged with two counts of battery. His bail was set at $1,500.

Jason Stephen Anderson, 30, of the 10 block of Wildwood Lane, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:11 a.m. at 16 W. Jefferson Avenue on two counts of battery, battery with intent to commit bodily harm and resisting a peace officer, according to police. His bail was set at $1,500.

Josue Esau Ramirez, 28, of the 2000 block of Kentland Drive, Romeoville was arrested 2:23 a.m. at West Van Buren Avenue and South Washington Street and charged with resisting a peace officer, according to police. His bail was set at $1,500.

Misuse of a handicap placard

A woman was cited in the 0 block of East Chicago Avenue at 2:09 a.m. for using her grandmother’s handicap placard so she would have a short walk to downtown bars, police said.

Stolen patio furniture

A 40-year-old woman in the 1300 block of N. West Street reported that between 10 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. on Sunday patio furniture was stolen overnight, police said.

Vehicle vandalized

A 48-year-old man in 2700 block of Pennyroyal Circle reported at 7:30 p.m. that a 1998 Jeep Cherokee had its passenger side scratched, police said.

Stolen license plate

A 63-year-old man in the 1400 block of Terrance Drive reported Sunday that a utility trailer parked in a driveway between June 7 and June 9 had its license plate taken. He discovered it was missing while filling up with gas.

SATURDAY, June 11

Driving on a suspended, revoked license

Martin Davalos, 23, of 2200 block of Bannister Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 4:05 p.m. at 1991 Brookdale Road and North Route 59, according to police. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Police said Alfredo Maldonado, 25, of 300 block of Oakwood Avenue in Aurora, was arrested at 2:53 a.m. at Audrey Avenue and South Route 59. He was arrested and charged on a warrant, driving on a suspended, revoked license and improper lane use. His bail was set at $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Police said that Calvin Luther Washington, 68, of 600 W. Congress Street in Maywood, was arrested on 3:10 a.m. at North Washington Street and West Warrenville Road, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage. His bail was set at $3,000.

Joshua D. Martinez, 29, of 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. at Inland Circle and Fairway Drive for driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Questionable encounter

A 24-year-old man reported that between 7:20 a.m. and 9 a.m. a man approached him in the 300 block of East Bailey Road and offered to sell him drugs, police said.

Vehicles vandalized, burglarized

A 42-year-old man reported at 3:39 a.m. in the 2600 block of Saltmeadow Road that a 2011 BMW sedan was scratched in the driveway of a friend’s home, police said.

A 33-year-old man reported that between 10 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Saturday a mailbox was placed on a vehicle and vehicle was keyed and covered in blue paint in the 2700 block of Pennyroyal Circle, according to police.

A 38-year-old man reported that between 12:30 a.m. and 10:10 a.m. a vehicle was burglarized in 1400 block of Fairway Drive, according to police.

A 43-year-old man in the 2700 block of Wild Timothy Court reported that a car was keyed and a rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked in a driveway overnight between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m., police said.

A 37-year-old man reported at 1:19 a.m. that his vehicle was keyed in 5300 block of Prairie Sage Lane, police said.

FRIDAY, June 10

Driving under the influence

Police said Alexander William Wohlfei Harris, 40, of the 20 block of W 284 Salem Ave. was arrested at 6:23 p.m. in the 200 block of West Hillside Road for driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was set at $3,000.

Kevin A. Fox, 48, of 8600 block of Suydam Road, Leland, was arrested at 10:44 a.m. in the 1500 block of West Ogden and Aurora avenues, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and a traffic control violation. His bail was set at $100.

Operating uninsured vehicle

Roberto Javier Ruiz, 23, of the 700 block of Grove Street, Aurora, was arrested at LaCrosse Lane and South Route 59 at 4:47 p.m., according to police. He was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, operating under suspension and driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Driving with suspended license

Police said Moulin Samir Shah, 25, of 4000 block of Blackstone Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. in the 2900 block of Audrey Avenue and South Route 59 and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was set at $1,500.

Driving without license

Michael John Huffman, 24, of first block of S.272 Twinpine Drive in Warrenville was arrested at 1:18 a.m. in the 0 block of North Route 59 and Ferry Road, police said. He was arrested on a warrant and charged with driving without a license. His bail was set at $1,500.

Possession of controlled substance

Joshua James Conner, 29, of 1600 block of Brookdale Road was arrested 3:27 p.m. and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to give a signal, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia

Police said David Matthew Greiter, 17, of 360 E. Wayne Place, Wheeling was arrested at 4:13 in the 1400 block of Naperville/Wheaton Road and East Ogden Avenue. He was charged with burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Sean James Barton, 18, of 2600 block of North Stratford Road, Arlington Heights, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. in the 1400 block of Naperville/Wheaton Road and East Ogden Avenue for burglary, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Vehicle code offenses

Police said Avery Jamhar Johnson, 18, of 1600 Chippewa Trail, Wheeling was arrested at 3:06 a.m. in the 1400 block of Naperville/Wheaton Road and East Ogden Avenue for Illinois Vehicle Code offenses, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Vandalism

A vandal broke a second-floor classroom window in the 1500 block of N. Loomis Street between Thursday at 7 p.m. and Friday at 5:50 a.m., police said. The value of the window is $600.

Police said it was reported at 8:15 p.m. that a 14- to 16-year-old female was seen throwing a landscape brick at a sliding glass window in the 400 block of East Bailey Road causing it break. The cost of the damage was estimated at $500.

Questionable conduct

At 12:06 a.m. a 23-year-old female in the 900 block of Fairway Drive reported her neighbor was repeatedly knocking on her door, police said. The neighbor said he was trying to invite her to have a drink with him.

THURSDAY, June 9

Possession of controlled substance

Police said Greg Corbette Bell, 36, of 4415 Blackhawk Lane, Lisle, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. in the 1300 block of East Ogden Avenue and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, and endangering the health, life of a child, police said.

Disorderly conduct

Susan Lynn Jaros, 38, of the 700 block of Superior Court, Naperville was arrested at 1:23 p.m. at her residence for disorderly conduct, police said. Her bail was set at $10,000.

Warrant arrest

Melissa Suzanne Moore, 44, of the 2700 block of Cedar Glade Drive, was arrested at 11:58 p.m. on a warrant out of Will County, police said. Her bail was set at $500.

False reporting

Police said Ashlee Deseraee Schmitt, 25, of the 5300 block of Clover Lane, Racine, Wis., was arrested in the 1100 block of East Ogden Avenue and charged with false report of an offense. Her bail was set at $1,500.
