Police Blotter: Gambling, Drunk Driving, Drug Arrests Made

Naperville Police reports, March 1.

Tuesday, March 1

Possession of marijuana

Ryan J. Dusing, 26, of the 2700 block of Whitchurch Court in , was arrested around 1 a.m. near the intersection of South Route 59 and Leverenz Road, police said. He was charged with possession of marijuana, disobeying a traffic control device and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $120.

Driving under the influence of alcohol

Patrick E. Gray, 64, of the 1900 block of Trails End Court in , was arrested around 9 p.m. in the 300 block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol after police said he crashed his sport utility vehicle. His bail was set at $3,000.

Paul J. Skarr, 26, of the 4400 block of Burgundy Place in Lisle, was arrested around 5 p.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue. Police said he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and interfering with an officer. His bail was set at $3,000.

Not so Gentle

Illya D. Gentle, 18, of the 1500 block of Jefferson Street in , was arrested around 10:30 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Ave., and charged with gambling, theft and battery. His bail was set at $1,500, police said.

Retail theft

Police said Brian Frank Oliver Castle, 21, of the 300 block of Boulder Hill Pass in Montgomery, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive, after stealing a Rockwell 12V SoniCrafter power tool. He was charged with retail theft. His bail was set at $1,500.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Kaitlin T. Doege, 18, of the 1100 block of North Wright Street in , was arrested around 9:30 p.m. near the intersection of North River Road and Sunnybrook Drive. Police said she was charged with driving a vehicle with an expired registration and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $120.

Drug Arrest

Police said [Name Withheld], 21, of 60th Place in Downers Grove, was arrested around 9 a.m. near the intersection of East Chicago and South Charles avenues. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and improper lane use. His bail was set at $100.

Break-in

A 54-year-old man of the 100 block of West Ogden Avenue in reported that someone removed a storm window leading to his basement, according to the report. Nothing was missing, he said, and he believed the break-in occurred between Monday at 5 p.m. and Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Verbal attack

A 19-year-old woman, who is an employee at a business in the 700 block of East Ogden Avenue in , reported that a man, who was about 40 years old and had long, blond hair, entered the business around 7:15 p.m. and made inappropriate comments to her. The comments weren't specified in the report, which said the man got into a work truck and headed eastbound on Ogden Avenue.
