Police Blotter: New Paint Job; 10-year-old Shot with Pellet Gun

Sunday, April 3

Fighting

Police said Ismail Imtiaz, 24, of the 1500 block of Naperville Wheaton Road in , was arrested around 6 a.m. at his home and charged with fighting. His bail was set at $120.

Dine 'n dash

Police said two men, who were described as being in their late 20s, left Steak 'N Shake, 1620 N. Route 59, , around 3:45 a.m. without paying for their food. They fled the area in a newer model, silver Mercedes Benz.

Tin foil paraphernalia

A 46-year-old man, of the 300 block of Douglas Avenue in , reported that he found a crafted piece of tin foil and a candle in his back yard. He said he believed the items were used for ingesting drugs and that they showed up between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Battery at Baymont

said a 25-year-old woman reported that she was battered in the lobby of Baymont Inn and Suites, 1585 Naperville Wheaton Road, , around 5:30 a.m. Additional details were not included in the police report.

Unlawful possession of weapons

Hurzaiz Dorado-Tepox, 20, of the 100 block of Edgehill Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of East Ogden Avenue and Wisconsin Street, police said. He was charged with unlawful possession of weapons, speeding over the statutory limit, driving without a valid driver's license and consumption of liquor by a minor. His bail was set at $1,500.

Shattered glass

A 77-year-old woman, of the 1000 block of Churchill Drive in , reported that someone shattered the glass door of her rental home. She called police about the vandalism around 10:50 a.m.

Driving under influence of alcohol

Heather L. Mata, 35, of the 1600 block of Ishnala Drive in , was arrested around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Tamarack Avenue and South Washington Street. Police said she was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of violating the Lights and Lamps Act and speeding over the statutory limit. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Ryan M. Miser, 19, of the first block of North Wright Street in , was arrested around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of North Brainard and School Streets, police said. He was charged with possession of liquor by a minor, illegal possession of liquor by a driver, driving without a driver's license in his possession, speeding over the statutory limit, driving a vehicle with an expired registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was set at $3,000.

Joel Rodriguez, 34, of the 400 block of Spencer Street in Aurora, was arrested around midnight near the intersection of North Aurora Road and Fairway Drive, police said. He was charged with driving without a valid driver's license, improper lane use and two counts of driving under the influence. His bail was set at $3,000.

Pellet gun shootings

Police said someone shot two windows of a building in the 1000 block of West Jefferson Avenue in using a pellet gun. The shots left dimpling in both windows, which were on the west side of the facade. The person who reported the damage said he or she believed it may have occurred between March 27 and around 11:15 a.m. Sunday.

A 72-year-old woman, of the 100 block of Hopi Court in , reported that a window of her residence had been shot and broken by someone who fired a pellet gun at it. She said she believed the damage occurred between 1 p.m. March 27 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Warrant arrest

Jordan E. Fairbairn, 22, of the 27000 block of Rustic Wood Lane in Plainfield, was arrested around midnight in the 100 block of West Jefferson Avenue on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said. His bail was set at $20,000.

Justin A. Travis, 21, of the 2300 block of Pontiac Circle in , was arrested around 9:45 p.m. at his home on an original warrant, police said.

Obstructing identification

Kenneth L. Rowe, 24, of the 3300 block of Hanover Drive in Rockford, was arrested around 10:15 a.m. near the intersection of North Route 59 and North Aurora Road on two original warrants. Police said he was charged with obstructing identification and driving without wearing a seat belt.

Saturday, April 2

Possession of pot

Tarnah R. Worrall, 25, of the 1100 block of North Mill Street in , was arrested around noon near the intersection of North Loomis Street and East Ogden Avenue. Police said she was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. Her bail was set at $120.

10-year-old shot with pellet gun

Police said a resident reported that around 5:40 p.m. in the 1000 block of Hollingswood Court someone shot her 10-year-old daughter in the leg with a pellet gun. The woman said the suspects were in a red sport utility vehicle. Police searched the area but did not find the vehicle.

Hateful graffiti

Police said black-and-white graffiti was found on three sides of Ranch View Elementary School, 1651 Ranch View Drive in , around 9:30 a.m. Drawings included a squad car with "die pigs" and "f--- the police" written above it. There were also " … several renderings of male genitalia and Oscar Meyer wiener mobiles," stated the report.

Missing ladder

A 42-year-old man, of the 900 block of North Eagle Street in , reported that a ladder was stolen from his home. He said he believed it was taken between March 19 and 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

False 911 call

Brandon J. Carter, 25, of the 700 block of East 130th Place in Chicago, was arrested around 1 a.m. in the first block of West Chicago Avenue after he called 911 "to ask why he wasn't being let into a bar he had been kicked out of," according to the report. He was charged with making a false report to 911 and his bail was set at $1,500.

Retail theft

Hope B. Kucera, 27, of the 1100 block of Bramble Avenue in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 3:20 p.m. at Ulta cosmetics, 2707 Aurora Ave. Police said she was charged with retail theft after she was seen hiding cosmetics in her baby's stroller and leaving the store without paying for the products. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Malcolm D. Steele, 18, of the 3100 block of Reflection Drive in , was arrested around 8:40 p.m. at a business in the 3100 block of South Route 59, and charged with retail theft. His bail was set at $1,500, police said.

Identity theft

Police said Shakena L. Ellis, 25, of the 300 block of West Downer Place in Aurora, was arrested around 8 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Indian Trail in Aurora, and charged with identity theft.

Warrant arrest

Derek E. Jeskey, 37, of the 200 block of East Bailey Road in , was arrested around 1:30 a.m. at his home on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said.

Christopher A. Rosales, 24, of the 1400 block of North Eagle Street in , was arrested around 3 p.m. at his home on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County. Police said his bail was set at $5,000.

Military desertion

Police said Jason M. Moseberry, 33, of the 900 block of Greensboro Court in , was arrested around 12:30 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue and charged with military desertion.

Friday, April 1

Possession of false identification

Cameron J. Fairbairn, 20, of the 27000 block of Rustic Woods Lane in Plainfield, was arrested around 5:15 p.m. in the 100 block of West Jefferson Ave., and charged with driving with a suspended/revoked license and possession of a false identification card. His bail was set at $1,500, police said.

New paint job

A 25-year-old woman, of the 1900 block of Nutmeg Lane in , reported that someone had poured white paint all over her vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. Paint also covered a double stroller that was placed behind the vehicle along with a set of wooden handled pruners. The stroller and pruners did not belong to the victim. She said she believed the paint dump occurred between 10 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday.

White paint, stroller, pruners missing

Police said a 30-year-old woman, of the 2000 block of Cobblebrook Lane in , reported that her garage was burglarized overnight after she left the door open. She said that a double stroller, a set of wooden handled pruners and possibly a can of white paint were missing.

A mailbox in a basket

A 56-year-old man, of the 1800 block of Morgan Circle in , reported that his mailbox had been uprooted overnight and placed in the basketball hoop in his driveway. He said nothing was missing, but that he suspected the vandalism was done by the same people who vandalized his home several years ago.

Warrant arrest

Natalia Rocha Moreira-Vale, 21, of the first block of Swan Circle in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 7:15 a.m. near the intersection of Raymond Drive and West Ogden Avenue on a warrant. She was charged with driving with a suspended/revoked license and improper use of a registration or title. Her bail was set at $1,500, police said.

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Police said Bobby A. Donahoe, 23, of the 1100 block of Oakley Court in Westmont, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of Tudor Drive and North Aurora Road. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and improper lane use. His bail was set at $3,000.

Battery

Eduardo Maldonado, 39, of the 1100 block of Coneflower Drive in Minooka, was arrested around 11:15 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., and charged with battery. His bail was set at $5,000.

Pickpocketing

A 61-year-old woman, who was in the 500 block of Fort Hill Drive in , reported that she was pick-pocketed while shopping. She said she believed the theft occurred between 1:45 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Theft

Donovan Q. Bailey, 41, of the 1500 block of Watkins Lane in , was arrested around 5:20 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., and charged with theft. Police said his bail was set at $1,500.

Vehicle burglaries

A 20-year-old woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 700 block of Inland Circle in , reported that someone broke into her car and stole an iPhone. She said she believed the burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Friday.

A 20-year-old woman, whose car was parked in the 700 block of Inland Circle in , reported that a toolbox filled with tools was missing from inside her vehicle. She said she believed someone broke in and stole the tools between 10 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday.

A 48-year-old woman, whose 2007 Ford Fusion was parked in the 700 block of Benedetti Drive in , reported that her vehicle was broken into between noon Thursday and noon Friday. Missing were a Magellan GPS and an iPod Nano.

A 24-year-old man, whose vehicle was parked in the 700 block of Inland Circle in , told police that some time between 9 p.m. Thursday and 2:30 p.m. Friday, someone entered his unlocked, 2005 Chevrolet Equinox. He said a single bottle of cologne and a change holder with about $10 in it was stolen.
