Monday, Feb. 21

Resisting a peace officer

Carlos A. Perez, 37, of the 600 block of Springhill Circle in , was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Aurora Avenue and Wild Cherry Road, police said. They charged him with failure to reduce speed, resisting a peace officer and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His bail was set at $2,000.

Police said Marco A. Salazar-Lopez, of the 600 block of Springhill Circle in , was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Aurora Avenue and Wild Cherry Road. They charged him with resisting a peace officer. His bail was set at $1,500.

Mangled stop sign

Police said they found a bent stop sign on the northeast corner of Wild Timothy Road and Switch Grass Lane in around 9 a.m. No tire tracks could be seen on the grass or parkway and there was no evidence as to how the damage occurred, they said.

Warrant arrest

Melissa A. Gonzalez, 34, of the 2300 block of Mannheim Road in Melrose Park, was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and Huntleigh Drive on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County. Her bail was set at $5,000, police said.

Jacket, keys swiped

A 32-year-old woman, who was at the DuPage Children's Museum, 301 N. Washington Street, , reported that her winter jacket was missing from the locker area of the museum. The jacket pocket had her car keys in it, police said. The woman said she believed the items were stolen between noon and 1 p.m.

Keyed car

Police said a 22-year-old man, of the 1600 block of Trent Avenue in , reported that his car had been keyed overnight while it was parked in his driveway. He said he believed someone keyed the car between 6 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday.

Burglary to motor vehicle

A 26-year-old woman, who was parked in the 1200 block of Chalet Road in , reported that her vehicle had been broken into, police said. Her stereo system was missing and she said she believed the break-in occurred between 8:30 p.m. Sunday and 6:40 a.m. Monday.

A 20-year-old woman, who was parked in the 800 block of Beaumont Drive in , reported that someone broke into her 1991 Saturn overnight and stole $450 worth of clothing. The driver's side window of the car was broken, police said. The woman said she believed someone broke in between 11 p.m. Sunday and 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Saturday, Feb. 20

Mailbox damaged

A 54-year-old woman, of the 700 block of Century Farm Lane in , reported that her wooden mailbox had been damaged by "unknown means," police said. She said she believed the damage occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday.

Friday, Feb. 19

Wedding band taken

A 33-year-old man of the 1900 block of Woodfield Court in , reported that his wedding band had been stolen, police said. The man said he believed that packers from a moving company he'd employed had stolen the ring and that the burglary occurred between Feb. 9 and Saturday.

Stolen sunglasses

A 59-year-old man, who was parked in the 500 block of East Hillside Road in , reported that a pair of prescription sunglasses was missing from his vehicle. He said he believed the theft occurred between 6:30 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday, according to the report.
