Sunday, May 8

Missing jewelry

A 62-year-old woman, of the 800 block of Chancellor Court in , reported that three pieces of jewelry were missing from her home. She said she believed the jewelry was stolen between noon Saturday and noon Sunday. She noted that the jewelry went missing the day after her home's windows had been cleaned.

Alleged pot possession

Police said Michael Marzo, 23, of the 500 block of Nassau Avenue in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 11 a.m. near the intersection of West 75th Street and Beebe Drive. He was charged with possession of marijuana, illegal lane use, speeding, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of liquor by a driver.

Busted mailbox

A 41-year-old man, of the 400 block of Quail Drive in , reported that three kids had broken his mailbox, police said. He reported the damage around 1:35 a.m.

Throwing stones, aggravated assault

Michael J. Moreno Jr., 30, of the 11700 block of Presley Circle in Plainfield, was arrested around 1:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Engle Road, police said. He had been throwing rocks at his estranged wife and her boyfriend as they passed by in front of his aunt's house, according to the police report. Police said the disorderly conduct charged stems from some of the rocks hitting the neighbor's house across the street. He was charged with disorderly conduct and aggravated assault.

Driving under the influence

Police said Stephanie L. Decicco, 46, of the 200 block of Willowwood Drive in Oswego, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of Ogden Avenue and South Route 59. She was charged with speeding over the statutory limit, illegal lane use and driving under the influence. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Jeffrey M. Berta, 44, of the 900 block of Savannah Circle in , was arrested around 2:10 a.m. near the intersection of South West Street and Savannah Circle, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of improper lane use. His bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Thomas D. Kelsey, 58, of the 700 block of Merritt Court in , was arrested round 1:10 a.m. near the intersection of West Jefferson Avenue and Main Street. He was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian, disobeying a stop sign and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was set at $3,000.

Swiss backpack, ipod stolen

A 17-year-old boy, whose vehicle was parked in the 2900 block of Portsmith Court in , reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle between noon Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday. He said $3 in change, a black Swiss backpack and an ipod were stolen.

GPS swiped

A 31-year-old woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive in , reported that a thief forcibly entered her car and stole a GPS device. She reported the break-in around 11:15 a.m.

Disorderly conduct

Debra N. Lerma, 22, of the 2300 block of Stacy Circle in Montgomery, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. She was charged with disorderly conduct/alarming and disturbing the peace. Her bail was set at $120.

Warrant arrest

Police said Kopi U. Cosey-Edwards, 23, of the 2300 block of Overlook Court in , was arrested around 7:15 p.m. in the 400 block of East Bailey Road on an original warrant out of the Lisle Police Department for retail theft. Her bail was set at $5,000.

Violating parole

Charles T. Hardney, 25, of the 1300 block of Albany Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 3:30 a.m. near the intersection of North Route 59 and East Interstate 88, police said. He was charged with driving without a valid driver's license and violating parole. His bail was set at $1,500.

Saturday, May 7

Window smashing on Modaff

Police said that between 4 p.m. Saturday and 7:30 a.m. Sunday, someone smashed two passenger-side windows of a vehicle that was parked in the 1300 block of Modaff Road in .

A 43-year-old man, whose vehicle was parked in the 1300 block of Modaff Road in , reported that the rear window of his vehicle had been smashed overnight.

Radar detector nabbed

A 54-year-old man, whose Honda Civic was parked in the 1900 block of Templar Drive in , reported that someone entered the unlocked car and stole an Escort radar detector valued at $50. He said he believed the device was taken between 10 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday.

Assault

Matthew J. Hubert, 41, of the 7300 block of McKinley in Centerline, Mich., was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in the 500 block of Beaconsfield Avenue, police said. He was charged with domestic battery and assault.

Coins taken

A 33-year-old woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 1600 block of Clyde Avenue in , reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle between 10 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday. She said $10 in coins was missing.

Disorderly conduct

Dmitriy S. Pugach, 34, of the 1500 block of Raymond Drive in , was arrested around 11:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of North Route 59, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and his bail was set at $120.

Jeep versus pole

Police said a dark blue Jeep struck a light pole between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Diehl Road and Park Street in . The driver then fled the scene. Additional information was unavailable Monday.

Vehicle versus gas pump, fleeing the scene

Police said the driver of a white vehicle, unknown make and model, backed up into pump No. 3 around 2:50 a.m. at a Speedway gas station, 1712 W. Ogden Avenue in . The suspect fled the scene, headed eastbound on Aurora Avenue. Gas leaked from the damaged pump, said the report.

Driving under the influence

Angie Ulie, 33, of the 4100 block of Bedford Lane in Aurora, was arrested around 2:40 a.m. near the intersection of North Route 59 and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. She had run a red light near that area and was driving erratically, according to the report. She was charged with improper lane use, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Sam N. Von Duhn, 39, of the 13400 block of South Route 59 in Plainfield, was arrested around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Aurora Avenue and South Washington Street. He was charged with driving under the influence and illegal lane use. His bail was set at $3,000.

Torrey M. Zeleznak, 23, of the 1200 block of Rhodes Lane in , was arrested around 3 a.m. near the intersection of Jefferson Avenue and North Route 59, police said. She was charged with driving a vehicle with an expired registration, violating a traffic control device, failure to use a turn signal when required, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Loud afternoon music

A 36-year-old woman, of the 100 block of Center Street in , reported around 1 pm. that an "uncooperative neighbor" had been playing music at an "excessive volume." Police asked the man who was blaring his music to turn it down, but he refused and before authorities left, turned the music up and began yelling profanities. "Music could be heard in excessive of 50 feet," according to the police report. The man, who was not named in the report, was cited under a city ordinance.

Friday, May 6

False police report

A 42-year-old woman, of the 400 block of Bailey Road in , admitted around 9:15 a.m. to making a false report to police that $2,500 had been stolen from her in an armed robbery.

Driving under the influence of drugs

Police said Oliver Adams, 51, of the 1500 block of Somerfield Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested around midnight near the intersection of Staunton Road and South Naper Boulevard. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, improper lane use and speeding. His bail was set at $3,000.

Damaged signs

Police said signs in the 3000 block of South Route 59 in were damaged by "unknown male offenders." The damage was reported around 10:40 p.m.

Siphoned gasoline

A 38-year-old man, whose vehicle was parked in the 700 block of Wildflower Circle in , reported that a thief siphoned gasoline from his car's gas tank overnight. He said he believed the theft occurred between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.

Fighting

Marcus A. Hanacek, 23, of the 14000 block of South Weller Drive in Plainfield, was arrested around 10:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Rickert Drive, police said. He was charged with fighting. His bail was set at $120.

Police said Joseph J. Havel, 46, of the 2600 block of Springdale Circle in , was arrested around 10:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Rickert Drive. He was charged with fighting and his bail was set at $120.

Mark Hanacek, 49, of the 100 block of East Tenth Street in Lockport, was arrested around 10:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Rickert Drive, police said. He was charged with fighting and his bail was set at $120.

Driving under influence, battery

Police said Taylor S. Boss, 24, of the 1600 block of Windward Court in , was arrested around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Waterfall Street and Windward Avenue. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of driving without a driver's license in his possession, battery and resisting a peace officer. His bail was set at $3,000.

Vodka fix

Police said a man between 17 and 19 who had brown hair and weighed about 140 pounds, stole a 750-milliliter bottle of Absolute from a business in the 3100 block of South Route 59 in , around 7:30 p.m. He left in a white SUV.

GPS stolen

A 32-year-old woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 1300 block of River Oak Drive in , reported that a GPS device was stolen out of her vehicle overnight.

Stereo face plate missing

A 41-year-old woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 1600 block of Knoll Drive in , reported that someone entered her unlocked vehicle between 9:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:30 a.m. Friday and stole her stereo face plate.

Utility box tagged

Police said someone spray-painted a utility box in the 1400 block of Clyde Drive in . Offenders used red, white and black paint. The defacement was reported around 8:30 a.m.
