Police Blotter: Indecency, Theft, Vehicle Burglary

Naperville Police Department reports for June 25.

Monday, July 25

Suspended/revoked license

Jerry Ollie Holt, 56, of the 1300 block of Kingsbury Drive, Hanover Park, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. in the 0 block of Hassert Boulevard and Book Road where he was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection and aggravated driving while his license was revoked, police said. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Edward Anthony Simon, 51, of the 800 block of Pomeroon Street, was arrested at 8:10 p.m. in the 500 block of 75th Street and Bell Drive, police said. He was charged with violating a bail bond, driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Indecency

John Peter Done, 40, of the 2600 block of Haddassah Drive, was arrested at 8:46 p.m. in the 20 block of E. Chicago Avenue where he was charged with public indecency/lewd exposure, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Retail theft

Stanley Aleksander Nowakowski, 61, of the 8200 block of Meadow Wood Avenue, Woodridge, was arrested in the 2500 (2511) block of W. 75th Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of retail theft. His bail was set at $1,500.

Vehicle burglary

A man in the 1100 block of Millrace Lane reported that miscellaneous items were taken from his unlocked vehicle between 9 p.m. Sunday and 8:41 a.m. Monday, police said.

A man in the 4700 block of Chokeberry Drive reported that his briefcase was stolen from the back seat of his vehicle between 6 p.m. Sunday and 6:15 a.m. Monday, police said. The man believed his vehicle was locked but weather stripping was loose, which may have allowed entry.

A resident in the 1600 block of Fender Road reported that their daughter left a vehicle unlocked and someone entered it overnight and stole $40 case from a wallet, $150 in gas cards and a GPS unit, police said.

A woman in the 300 block of Eastland Court reported that her purse was taken off the passenger seat of an unlocked truck between 11 p.m. Sunday and 11 a.m. Monday.

Someone entered a vehicle in the 1000 block of Knoll Drive between 9 p.m. Sunday and 12:07 p.m. Monday, police said.

Property damage

A resident in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive reported that between 8 p.m. Sunday and 9:45 a.m. Monday a vehicle’s hood was damaged by an unknown blunt object causing two dents and scrapes in the paint, police said.

Theft

A woman stole $59.88 in gasoline from a station in the 1500 block of S. Washington Street at 12:44 p.m., according to police.

A caller in the 500 block of Aurora Avenue reported that a table and chairs along with an umbrella were stolen from the pavilion at a condominium complex between 10 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday, police said.
