Police Blotter: Illegal Transportation of Alcohol; Retail Theft

Driving under influence
John C. Moran, 53, of the 900 block of Genesee Court in , was arrested around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Genesee and Woodewind drives and charged with two counts driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of violating the Lights and Lamps Act, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.
Roman J. Santos, 23, of the 24300 block of Hemlock Drive in Plainfield, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of 75th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a front/rear license plate or permit display and speeding over the statutory limit. His bail was set at $3,000.
Illegal transportation of alcohol
Police said they arrested Benjamin J. Murphy, 24, of the 600 block of Prairie Avenue in Downers Grove around 1 a.m. at the Downers Grove Police Department, 825 Burlington Ave., Downers Grove, on an original warrant out of DuPage County for illegal transportation of liquor by a passenger and possession of a controlled substance. His bail was set at $20,000.

Retail theft
Frank J. Vitek, 62, of the 700 block of Merritt Court in , was arrested around 5 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Drive, and charged with retail theft, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.
Eric L. Collazo, 19, of the 100 block of Testa Drive in , was arrested around 1 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Ave., on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said. He was also charged with retail theft. His bail was set at $4,000.
Warrant arrest
Ricardo Garcia-Cruz, 37, of the 700 block of Inland Circle in , was arrested around 3:30 p.m. at his home on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County. His bail was set at $7,500, police said.
Kelly M. Chapman, 40, of the 1300 block of Modaff Road in , was arrested around 10:30 p.m. at her home on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County, police said. Her bail was set at $5,000.
Police said they arrested Grant M. Fuller, 21, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive in , around 5 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Ave., on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County. His bail was set at $5,000.
