Police Blotter: Homeless Man Charges at a Father, Hit and Run Pedestrian vs. Minivan

Wednesday, Sept. 8
THEFT
A 45-year-old woman reported around 8:20 a.m. that $107 was taken from an unattended golf cart at White Eagle Golf Club, 3400 Club Drive. She suspects the money was stolen between 6 p.m. Sept. 7 and the time of the report Wednesday.

A 21-year-old reported around 4:45 p.m. that her bike was missing from the steps of her residence in the 900 block of East Chicago Avenue. She suspects it was stolen between 2 and 4:30 p.m.

Two Hispanic women entered Sally Beauty Supply, 256 Route 59, around 5:15 p.m., removed a black apron valued at $27.99, and put it in a purse. When confronted by management, both women fled the store in a silver Ford vehicle. They were last seen driving southbound on Route 59.

A 17-year-old reported that his bike was missing from the entrance of Chipotle, 22 E. Chicago Ave. He suspects it was stolen between 7 p.m. Sept. 4 and 2 a.m. Sept. 5.

CRIMINAL DEFACEMENT
A 57-year-old woman reported around 5:45 p.m. that her garage door in the first block of Glencoe Court was "sprayed with an unknown material." Police suspect it may be shaving cream.

SIMPLE ASSAULT
Paul L. Fleck, a homeless man whose last known address was in Wheaton, was arrested around 7:05 p.m. in the 100 block of South Washington Street. Fleck was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct after he ran at a 43-year-old man and his two children. Fleck reportedly charged at the three with his fists clenched because they refused his pan handling demands.

HIT AND RUN
A 16-year-old girl was riding her bike northbound on the sidewalk along Naper Boulevard near its intersection with River Oak Drive Wednesday when she was struck by a minivan. The girl was crossing the street at the intersection when a purple minivan driving southbound on Naper Boulevard struck the front end of her bike, causing her to fall. She injured the right side of her leg but refused medical treatment.

SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF A CHILD
Jeromey S. Ratliff, 30, of Joliet, was arrested around 4:45 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., on a warrant for sexual exploitation of a child. He was transported to the DuPage County Jail. No additional information about the arrest was available Thursday around 6 p.m.

WARRANT ARREST
Bradley M. Harris, 43, of Naperville was arrested around 3:45 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., on an original warrant.

Jacob J. Obriecht, 20, of Naperville was arrested around 3:50 p.m. in the 1300 block of Crab Apple Court on an original warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was transported to the Will County Jail, where his bond was set at $15,000.

Rosalinda M. Lopez, 18, of Naperville was arrested around 8:50 p.m. in the 700 block of Inland Circle on a failure-to-appear warrant. Her bond was set at $2,000.
