Identity theft

Jason Edward Sitts, 19, was arrested at 4:45 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. He was charged with identity theft. He posted bond.

Ramiro Sanchez-Castellanos, 37, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged with retail theft. He posted bond. 

Warrant arrest

  • Steven Timothy Simmons, 18, was arrested at 10:43 a.m. in the 800 block of North Mill Street, police said. He was charged on a warrant and released to another agency in Kane County. 
  • Michael Ellis Watkins, 39, was arrested at 3:58 p.m. in the 200 block of North Washington Street, police said. He was charged on a warrant. He posted bond. 

No insurance

Codyion Catrell Strong, 23, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. near Ogen Avenue and 355, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance. He posted bond. 

Driving under the influence

  • Cesar Carlos Sanchez, 27, was arrested at 7:09 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He posted bond. 
  • Britt Marie Nordlof, 27, was arrested at 11:52 p.m. near I-88 and North Naper Boulevard, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She posted bond.

No license

Cynthia Avila, 25, was arrested at 11:14 p.m. near Ogden Avenue and BNRR, police said. She was charged with no driver's license. She posted bond. 

Phone stolen

A prepaid cell phone was stolen from a store in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said.

Not for sale

A World War II era hand grenade was found on a property being sorted for an estate sale in the 900 block of Sheridan Circle, police said. DuPage County officials were notified and removed the hand grenade.
