Police Blotter: Graffiti, Theft, Driving Under the Influence

Friday, June 17           

Retail theft

Julie A. Kittridge, 46, of the 3500 block of Stackinghay Drive was arrested Friday at 3:53 p.m. in the 1300 block of South Route 59 and charged with retail theft, police said. She concealed $152 in merchandise in her purse and left without paying.

Warrant arrest

Lewis Delano Eller, 47, of 100 block of East Bailey Road was arrested Friday at 9:23 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County, police said. Bail was set at $1,000.

Possession of cannabis

Michael Derek Madsen, 19, of the 2800 block of Wheatland Court, was arrested on Friday at 2:38 a.m. at the same address and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis greater than 10 grams and possession of controlled substance, police said. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Delivery of cocaine

Richard Oscar Loureiro, 36, of the 400 block of Chaucer Court, Schaumburg, was arrested Friday at 3:59 p.m. for manifestation, delivery of more than 15 but less than 100 grams of cocaine, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Nicholas Romero, 36, of 3200 block of Ridgeland Avenue, Berwyn was arrested Friday at 1:42 a.m. in the 700 block of Inland Circle, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was set at $3,000.

Driving on a suspended license

Police said Yolanda Evangelista, 34, of 200 block of Hadleigh Road, Bolingbrook was arrested Friday at 11:56 p.m. at 75th Street and South Route 59 and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. Bail was set at $1,500.

Stolen purse

A 28-year-old woman in the 6000 block of Rosinweed Lane reported that between 1:30 a.m. and 3:50 a.m. Friday her purse was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked in a friend’s driveway, police said.

Missing sunglasses

A 63-year-old woman in the 1100 block of West Ogden Avenue reported over the weekend that Thursday between 4:30 and 5 p.m. she left sunglasses on the ground outside of an apartment building and they were stolen, police said.

Graffiti

It was reported over the weekend in the 100 block of W. Jefferson Avenue that graffiti of a storm trooper was found on the exterior of a building, police said.

A 42-year-old woman in the 2700 block of Stockton Road reported that between 8 a.m. June 13 and 2:32 p.m. Friday unknown juveniles damaged a mailbox taking it off its post, police said. They also used black spray paint and a stencil to paint a ghost rider on the top of the stairs and porch at the front door.

Burglarized vehicles

A 52-year-old woman in the 3600 block of Eliot Lane reported that between 11:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7:20 a.m. Thursday that two vehicles were entered and a handicap placard was taken from one, according to police.

Stolen car

A 35-year-old woman in the 1200 block of Brookline Court reported that between 4:30 and 8:10 p.m. a 2005 KIA optima four-door was taken from driveway, police said.

Saturday, June 18

Driving under the influence

Timothy Tiernan Sheehan, 45 of 4700 block of Powers Boulevard in Decatur was arrested Saturday at 1:45 a.m.i n the 1600 block of N. Route 59, police said. He was charged with improper lane use and driving under the influence of alcohol. Bail was set at $3,000.

Rolando Garza, 22, of the 1300 block of Raynor Avenue in Joliet was arrested Saturday at 2:18 a.m. in the 20 block of East 6th Avenue and Washington Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper turn at an intersection and improper lane use. Bail set at $100.

Mark A. Menolascino, 19, of the 2900 block of Troon Drive, Montgomery, was arrested on Saturday at 3:02 a.m. at North Route 59 and North Aurora Road for driving under the influence of alcohol, consumption of liquor by a minor, operating an uninsured vehicle, speeding and failure to give a signal, police said. Bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Luke Anthony Vitale, 19, of 2600 block of Saltmeadow Road, was arrested Saturday at 1:47 a.m. and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, zero tolerance law, possession of liquor by a minor, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, speeding over the limit, failure to give a signal and consumption of liquor by a minor. Bond was set at $100.

Richard Michael Gustafson, 27, of the 1500 block of Westminster Drive, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. Saturday at North River Road and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to give signal and speeding over the limit, police said. Bail was set at $3,000.

Thomas Jay Sinnen, 54, of the 23000 block of West Royal Worlington Drive was arrested Saturday at 10:45 p.m. in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue and Quincy Avenue, police said. He was charged with improper lane use, not wearing a seat belt, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to give signal and improper turn at intersection.

Antonio Arreola, 18, of the 400 block of Dayton Avenue in West Chicago was arrested Saturday at 3:40 a.m. at North Route 59 and Ferry Road, according to police. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, a warrant, disobeying a traffic control signal, illegal lane use, operating an uninsured vehicle and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver.  Bail was set at $5,000.

Francisco Mendez, 31, of the 200 block of Peppertree Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 12:57 a.m. Saturday at 400 block of South Route 59 and East New York Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, not wearing a seat belt, resisting a peace officer and failure to carry a registration card. Bond was $100.

Andrew Anthony Ng, 21, of the 800 block of Poplar Lane, Bolingbrook was arrested at 12:37 a.m. Saturday at South Weber Road and Boughton Road and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the limit and failing to give a signal, police said. Bail was set at $3,000.

Elizabeth Mary Massa, 24, of the 500 block of Buckingham Way, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 1:40 a.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Washington Street and West Porter Avenue and charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, improper lane use and violating lights and lamps act, police said. Bond was $100.

Excessive speeding

Kostas, Ceicys, 19, of 800 block of Springhill Circle was arrested on Saturday at 9:29 p.m. at West Ogden Avenue and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with speeding 40-plus mph over the limit. His bail was set at $2,000.

Driving without a license

Reginald James Sallis, 19, of the 30 block of West 60thStreet in Westmont was arrested Saturday at 11:40 p.m. at Brookdale Road and North Route 59 for driving without a license, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Possession of paraphernalia

Anthony Carroll Eick, 21, of the 4100 block of Milford Lane, Aurora, was arrested Saturday at 2:57 a.m. at North Route 59 and North Aurora Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. Bond was $120.

Warrant arrest

Lavon Grant Brown, 23, of the 3800 block of East New York Street, Aurora, was arrested Saturday at 7:45 p.m. at 2500 block of West 75thStreet on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County, police said. Bail was set at $3,000.

Driving while license suspended

Rigoberto Mateo-Carabez, 28, of the 10300 block of South Avenue O, Chicago, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of McDowell Road and North Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured vehicle.  Bail was $2,000.

Stolen purse

A 24-year-old woman in the 0 block of West Jefferson Avenue reported Saturday at 2:14 a.m. that her wallet was stolen from her unattended purse, police said.

House ransacked

A 51-year-old man reported in the 300 block of Elmwood Drive reported that the residence was entered between Friday at 10 a.m. and Saturday at 8:48 a.m. via a pried basement window and bedrooms were ransacked, police said.

Theft

It was reported in the 1400 block of East Chicago Avenue that between 9:15 p.m. Friday and 10:25 a.m. Saturday that someone jumped a fence on the south side of the business and forced open the rear door, police said. A cash box containing $200 was taken and $25 was taken from another cash box. Sunglasses and three beer tappers were also stolen.

Graffiti

In the 1600 block of Ranchview Drive it was reported that between 9:35 a.m. June 4 and 11:33 a.m. Saturday graffiti in permanent marker was found at the top of tan playground slide on school property, police said. It could be gang related.

A 59-year-old woman in the 100 block of Aurora Avenue reported at 6:29 p.m. Saturday that someone spray painted NNHS in orange with a penis next to it, police said.

Vehicle burglarized

A 61-year-old female on Jackson Avenue and South Webster Street reported that between 4:15 and 5 p.m. Saturday and unknown thief took 10 CD’s, $20 sunglasses, $4 in change along with three syringes of Demerol and four pills of Protonix valued at $75, police said. The vehicle was entered through an open rear window.

Sunday, June 19

Possession of cannabis

Branden Joseph Ballard, 18, of the 21000 block of Crestwick Court, Crest Hill was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of South Brainard Street, according to police. He was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $120.

Warrant arrest

Dominic Paul Sisto, 20, of 2300 block of Vanderbilt in Geneva was arrested at 3:47 a.m. Sunday in the 400 block of S. Brainard Street, police said. He was charged on an outstanding warrant and also with consumption of liquor by a minor. Bail was set at $800. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Raymond Archuleta, 45, of 2400 block of Garden Street in Joliet was arrested at 11:49 p.m. Sunday at South Naper Boulveard and Cassin Road for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use, according to police. Bail was set at $100.

Kyle Martin Prochaska, 20, of 2900 block of Mistflower Lane was arrested Sunday at 2:46 a.m. in the 800 block of North Loomis Street and East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving on the wrong side on a divided road, driving in wrong lane, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, consumption of liquor by a minor, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis and improper lane change without signal, police said. Bond was set at $100.

Driving while license suspended

Ardell Walker, 41, of the 4000 block of Bonhill Drive, Arlington Heights, was arrested Sunday at 4:25 a.m. at Aurora Avenue and Fort Hill Drive and charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, not wearing a seat belt and operating an uninsured vehicle, police said. Bail was set at $2,000.

Shantanu Sanjib Mukheriji, 18, of the 400 block of Vaughn Circle, Aurora was arrested Sunday at 12:48 a.m. at West Diehl Road and Fisher Drive and charged with not wearing a seat belt and driving with a suspended license, police said. Bail was set at $1,500.

Battery

Michael R. Wyczesany, 35, of 700 block of Four Season Boulevard, Aurora, was arrested on Sunday at 3:11 p.m. and charged with battery and disorderly conduct, police said.

My Cong Van, 27, of 2400 block of Clarence Avenue in Berwyn, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue on a warrant, police said. His bond was $275.

A 40-year-old woman in the 1100 block of Honest Pleasure Drive reported that between 10:30 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. Sunday about $15 in quarters and an $100 silver bracelet were taken from an unlocked vehicle, police said.

A-59-year-old man in the 1200 block of Arthur Road said that between 8 p.m Saturday and 9:24 p.m. Sunday an unlocked vehicle was entered and a Sony dictation machine, loose change and a cell phone were stolen, police said. A cell phone was found a few blocks away.

A 45-year-old man in the 1300 block of Middleburg Road reported that between 12 a.m. and 7 a.m. Sunday someone entered his unlocked vehicles and stole a Dell laptop and a Garmin GPS, police said.

A 44-year-old man in the 900 block of South Charles Avenue reported that between 6 p.m. Saturday and 9:54 a.m. Sunday that a laptop, camera and two iPods were stolen from an unlocked vehicle overnight, police said.

A 46-year-old woman in the 2900 block of Audrey Avenue reported at 5:28 p.m. Sunday that a vehicle was keyed, police said.

A 46-year-old man in the 3700 block of Lawrence Drive reported Sunday that on Thursday a red Gary Fisher BMX bike was taken, police said.
