Police Blotter: Fighting, Theft, Underage Possession

Driving with a suspended/revoked license

  • Mario C. Soto, 50, of the 35000 block of Linden Lane, Custer Park, was arrested at 5:37 p.m. in the 1600 block of Riparian Drive and Prairie Knoll Drive where he was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper use of a registration or title, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.
  • Jason William Wood, 25, of the 1600 block of W. Diehl Road, was arrested at 5:23 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bond Street and McDowell Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, improper use of a registration or title, driving an uninsured vehicle and driving without insurance under a suspension.

Theft

Christine Hyejin Cho, 19, of the 6100 block of Tyrnbury Drive, Lisle, was arrested at 8:16 p.m. in the 2500 block of W. 75th Street, police said. She was charged with retail theft. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Warrant arrest

LeSean Pierre Harris, 20, of the 900 block of Brainard Street, was arrested at 4:58 p.m. at his home where he was charged on a warrant from DuPage County, police said. His bail was set at $5,000.

Fighting

  • Darius Jamal Martin, 22, of the 0 block of Whispering Hills Drive, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. in the 20 block of E. Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with fighting and interfering with an officer. His bond was set at $120.
  • A 23-year-old man in the 0 block of E. Chicago Avenue reported at 12:11 a.m. that he was dancing on the floor when a man with a stocky build kicked some water toward his feet. He asked the victim to be careful and then the man punched him in the eye and left, police said.

Underage possession

A 19-year-old was caught in the 600 block of S. Main Street at 6:55 p.m. by park district officers pouring vodka into a bottle and appeared to be ready to have a drink, police said. He was cited for possession of alcohol by a minor.
