Police Blotter: Endangering Health of Child; Letting Drunken Man Drive

Sunday, March 27

Drug-related arrest

Meghan B. Brooks, 23, of the first block of Huntington Circle in , was arrested around 6:45 p.m. at her home, police said. She was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $1,500.

Endangering health of a child

Police said Sarah L. Maxwell, 22, of the 2000 block of Vanderbilt Court in , was arrested around 6 p.m. in the first block of Huntington Circle. She was charged with endangering the health/life of a child and her bail was set at $1,500.

Warrant arrest

Police said Jose L. Bravo, 27, of the 1300 block of Crab Apple Court in , was arrested around 3 p.m. in the 800 block of North Eagle Street on a failure-to-appear warrant. He was also charged with failure to use a turn signal when required and driving with a suspended/revoked license.

Retail theft

Vytautas Stonkus, 43, of the 1900 block of Stanford Drive in , was arrested around 2:30 p.m. at Caputo's Fresh Market, 3115 111th St., after police said he and a woman were spotted by security stealing items. He was stashing items in woman's purse, on the bottom of the cart and in his jacket pockets, according to the report. Police said the items retailed for less than $300. Stonkus was charged with retail theft and his bail was set at $1,500.

Police said Gitana Stonkiene, 41, of the 1900 block of Stanford Drive in , was arrested around 2:30 p.m. at Caputo's Fresh Market, 3115 111th St., after police said she and a man were seen stealing. She was putting items in her purse and the man was placing items in the cart and in his pockets, according to the report. Police said the items retailed for less than $300. She was charged with retail theft and her bail was set at $1,500.

Driving under the influence of alcohol

Samantha B. Hood, 21, of the 2300 block of Ferdinand Lane in Montgomery, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Sixth Street and North Washington Street. Police said she was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of driving the wrong way in a roadway. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Kenneth W. Meyer, 25, of the 1300 block of West Macon Street in Decatur, was arrested around 2:20 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Street and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of driving without wearing a seat belt, violating the lights and lamps act, violating a traffic control device and driving with a suspended/revoked license. His bail was set at $3,000.

Saturday, March 26

Letting drunken man drive

Gezim Neziri, 24, of the 12800 block of Bradford Lane in Plainfield, was arrested around 1:10 a.m. near the intersection of South Route 59 and Aurora Avenue. Police said he was charged with permitting a person who was intoxicated to drive his vehicle. His bail was set at $1,500.

Car break-in

A 21-year-old woman, whose vehicle was parked in the 1500 block of North Aurora Road in , reported that someone had smashed out the driver's side window of her silver, 2009 Pontiac G6. She said a Victoria's Secret handbag with a flat iron, clothing and make-up inside of it was stolen. She estimated the items to total around $500 and said she believed they were taken between 11 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.

Driving under influence of alcohol

James P. Perrone, 42, of the first lock of Kite Court in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of 95th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His bail was set at $3,000.

Gautam D. Shukla, 26, of the 1000 block of Whitewater Lane in , was arrested around 2:20 a.m. near the intersection of North Route 59 and Brookdale Road, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended/revoked license, violating the lights and lamps act and improper lane use. His bail was set at $3,000, according to the report.

Edmond Hajrullahu, 26, of the 1300 block of West Touhy Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 1 a.m. near the intersection of South Route 59 and Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection, driving under the influence of alcohol, violating the lights and lamps act and failure to use a turn signal when required. His bail was set at $3,000.

Warrant arrest

Police said Lucio Ramos-Lozano, 31, of the 1300 block of Kane Street in Aurora, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. at his home on a failure to-appear warrant. His bail was set at $10,000.

Police said Isidro Gabriel-Martinez, 32, of the 200 block of Murphy Drive in Romeoville, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of English Rows Avenue on a failure-to-appear warrant out of Will County. His bail was set at $3,000.
