Police Blotter: DUI, Pump and Run, Possession of Stolen Property

Driving under the influence

  • Richard R. Roos, 52, of the 2000 block of North Laurel Valley Drive in Vernon Hills, was arrested at 10:18 p.m. near East Ogden Avenue and North Columbia Street, Naperville Police Department said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, following too close, speeding, improper passing the left and failure to give a signal. His bail was $3,000.
  • Deon Joseph Williams, 27, of the 500 block of Bennette Evenue in Joliet, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, driving on a suspended/revoked license, illegal possession/transportation of liquor and a failure to appear warrant. His bail was $3,000.

Possession of stolen property 

Joshua Sheldon Griffith, 35, of the 6000 block of West Touhy Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 6 a.m. at his residence, police said. He was charged with possession of stolen property. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Warrant arrest

Mario Miguel Rodriguez, 39, of the 3700 block of East New York Street in Aurora, was arrested at 12:58 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant. His bail was $2,500.

Pump and run

Someone driving a 1997-99, four-door Pontiac Grand Am drove off from a gas station after pumping $58.23 in gas in the 1500 block of North Aurora Road, police said.
