Thursday, June 2

Driving under influence of alcohol

William Lawrence Koch, 55, of the 3900 block of Valley View Street in Colorado Springs was arrested around 11:45 p.m. at the intersection of North Washington Street and West Ogden Avenue in Naperville, police said. Koch was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and speeding, according to reports. His bail was set at $3,000.

Public urination/defecation

Oscar S. Lopez was arrested around 1 a.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue in Naperville, police said. According to reports, Lopez was found behind the dumpsters at Bar Louie and charged with public urination/defecation.

Hit and run

  • A 57-year-old man said he was involved in a hit and run around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Route 59 and eastbound Interstate 88 according to police reports. A vehicle changed lanes and struck the 57-year-old man’s vehicle, police said.
  • A 64-year-old woman was the victim of a hit and run around 4:15 p.m. at the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue in Naperville according to police reports. A vehicle struck the rear of the woman’s vehicle when it pulled through a parking space into an adjacent aisle, police said. The vehicle causing the accident left the scene not knowing it had hit the woman’s vehicle, according to reports.
  • A 22-year-old man’s vehicle was struck in a hit-and-run at the 400 block of South Main Street in Naperville around 9 p.m., police said. The man’s vehicle was backed into by another vehicle while in a Walgreens parking lot, police reports said. The vehicle that struck the man’s vehicle realized the accident occurred but was in a hurry to get home, officers said. The vehicle left the scene in attempt to get home on time, according to reports.  

Possession of stolen property

A traffic stop at the intersection of Route 59 and 75th Street in Naperville recovered stolen property form a theft in Aurora, officers said. Naperville police conducted a traffic stop for traffic violations around 1 p.m. according to reports. During the stop, police recovered herbal incense, cigars and other stolen property from a theft in Aurora, according to police.

Wednesday, June 1

Criminal damage to property

A 60-year-old man of the 2500 block of Newport Drive in Naperville reported his mailbox was smashed by unknown means between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday, police said.

Burglary from mobile vehicle

A 42-year-old man of the 1200 block of Arapaho Court in Naperville reported his DVD player was taken from his vehicle while it was parked in his driveway between 6 p.m. Monday and 12 p.m. Tuesday, according to police.

May 15

Theft

A 36-year-old man said his front license plate was stolen while he was parked in a lot between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the 2000 block of Westings Avenue in Naperville, according to police reports.
