Police Blotter: Car Windows Smashed, Theft Witness Channels Clint Eastwood

Retail theft

Kelly Elizabeth Cook, 31, of the 4200 block of Landing Drive in Aurora, was arrested at 7:25 p.m. at the , police said. She was charged with retail theft. Her bond was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Bradley William Woldman, 21, of the 1700 block of Greene Ridge Drive, was arrested at 1:02 a.m. near Sycamore Drive and South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with following too close, speeding and two counts of driving under the influence. His bail was $3,000.

Smashed windows

  • Someone damaged the rear window of a vehicle parked on the roadway in the 1100 block of Sequoia Road, police said. 
  • Someone shattered a rear driver side window of a vehicle in the 500 block of Spruce Drive, police said.
  • Someone shattered the rear window of a vehicle in the 600 block of West Gartner Road, police said.
  • A rear window was smashed on a vehicle in the 600 block of West Gartner Road, police said.
  • Someone shattered a rear window of a car on the 700 block of West Gartner Road, police said.
  • Someone shattered the window of a van in the 1600 block of Westminster Drive, police said. 

Lost dog

A 6-year-old female German Shepherd with a black electric fence collar was reported lost in the area of 87th Street and Hillsboro Lane, police said.

Stolen iPhones

  • An iPhone 4 was stolen in the 200 block of South Route 59, police said.
  • A white Apple iPhone 4 was stolen at bar on June 5 in the first block of Chicago Avenue, police said. 

Bumpy ride

A yellow playground slide was damaged overnight after it appeared to have been struck with blunt object in the 2300 block of High Meadow Road, police said. 

Go ahead, make my day

Someone stole a "Bus Parking Only" sign, but dropped the sign after a witness stared the suspect down in the 1700 block of Ranchview Drive. The sign was then returned to the school and the principal was notified, police said.

Stolen bike

Someone stole an orange Mongoose bicycle in the 900 block of Fairway Drive, police said. 

Mixed signal

A construction light board message was changed by someone near Hassert and Book Road, police said.
