Police Blotter: Driving Under the Influence, Retail Theft

Thursday, July 21

Driving under the influence

Wade Travis Russell, 34, of the 3500 block of Stone Creek Drive, Joliet, was arrested at 1:04 a.m. at the 0 block of 75thStreet and Modaff Road, according to Naperville police. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the limit, improper lane use and operating an uninsured vehicle. His bail was set at $3,000.

Jacob James McGowan, 21, of the 2000 block of University Drive, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. in the 600 block of Timber Trail Drive, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding, illegal possession/transportation of liquor and violating the lights and lamps act. His bond was set at $100.

Driving on a suspended/revoked license

Michael Don Huffman, 43, of the 1200 block of Boswell Lane, was arrested at 9 p.m. on Blakely Lane where he was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Warrant arrest

Tyler William Nelson, 35, of the 10 block of S. Ellsworth St, was arrested at 10:34 p.m. in the 1100 block of N. Washington Street and W. 12th Avenue, according to police. He was charged with a failure to appear warrant. His bail was set at $6,000.

Retail theft

Jessica Jean Saylor, 30, of the 1200 block of N. Eagle Street was arrested at 6:19 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department where she was charged on an original warrant for retail theft, police said. Her bail was set at $1,000.

Vehicle burglarized

A 43-year-old man in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive reported that between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday his vehicle was burglarized and damaged, police said.

A 64-year-old man in the 3900 block of Idlewild Lane reported that between 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday his van was burglarized, police said.
