Police Blotter: Disorderly Conduct, Burglary, DUIs, Graffiti Continues

Friday, June 1

Battery

Robert James Kuhter, 42, of the 3S500 block of Burk Avenue, was arrested at 12:51 a.m. in the 400 block of East Ogden Avenue, said. He was charged with battery. His bond was $150.

Leaving scene of accident 

Jaime Garcia, 31, of the 300 block of Superior Street in Aurora, was arrested at 9:38 p.m. at his residence, police said. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions. His bond was $1,500.

Warrant arrest

  • Jonathan Daniel Mason, 22, of the 500 block of Sharon Way in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. near Fairway Drive and Inland Circle, police said. He was charged with illegal possession/transportation of liquor and a failure-to-appear warrant. He was transported to DuPage County Jail.
  • Jay Von Spreck, 46, of the 300 block of East Ohio Street in Chicago, was arrested at 11:38 a.m. in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant.
  • Edward Thomas Bodnar, 42, of the 25500 block of West Route 30 in Plainfield, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. near 111th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, no valid registration, expired registration and a failure-to-appear warrant. His bail was $7,500.

Resisting a peace officer

Michael James Bradford, 19, of the 700 block of Superior Court, was arrested at 3:14 a.m. at his residence, police said. He was charged with resisting a peace officer and false report of offense.

Disorderly conduct

Thomas Joseph Gallagher, 18, of the 2200 block of Highfield Lane in Aurora, was arrested at 3:14 a.m. in the 700 block of Superior Court, police said. He was charged with resisting, obstruction and disarming an officer and all other disorderly conduct.

Theft

Kathleen Munro Stoner, 47, of the first block of Notre Dame Drive, was arrested at 8:12 p.m. at her residence, police said. She was charged with violating a protection order and theft. She was transported to DuPage County Jail.

Suspended/revoked license

Navon Nathaniel Henry, 28, of the 500 block of South Kathleen Drive in Romeoville, was arrested at 10:02 p.m. near Fairway Drive and Inland Circle, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $1,500.

Tools stolen

A delivery box containing new tools was stolen from a front porch in the 1200 block of Leverenz Road, police said.

Hit and run

Someone struck a vehicle on in the 2400 block of Kingsley Drive, police said.

Saturday, June 2

Suspended license

  • Pedro Aguirre, 21, of the 2100 block of Liberty Street in Aurora, was arrested at 7:54 p.m. near West Diehl road and Country Club Boulevard, police said. He was charged with unlawful tint over a registration plate and driving with a suspended license. His bond was $1,500.
  • Malik Syed Abdul-Mughni, 56, of the 5400 block of Meadowbrook Street in Plainfield, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. near South Route 59 and Rolling Ridge Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Robert Dale Rader, 46, of the 6600 block of Osceola Trail in Indian Head Park, was arrested at 1:54 a.m. near West 75th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Battery 

  • Kathryn Anne Kroger, 24, of the 4400 block of Normandy Drive in Lisle, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. near South Washington Street and East Jefferson Avenue, police said. She was charged with resisting a peace officer and battery. Her bond was $1,500.
  • Ann Margaret Gniadek, 36, of the 1500 block of Georgia Court, was arrested at 8:11 p.m. at her residence, police said. She was charged with battery and obstructing justice. Her bond was $1,500.

Graffiti 

A pedestrian crossing sign was marked with a blue marking, which was consistent with other graffiti in the area near Charles Avenue and South Charles Avenue, police said. 

Mailbox damaged

A mailbox and post were damaged in the 700 block of Wildflower Circle, police said. 

Sunday, June 3

Driving under the influence

  • Jessica Rose Leiber, 18, of the 3900 block of Littlestone Circle, was arrested at 1:47 a.m. near West 7th Street and South Route 59, police said. She was charged with failure to give a signal, improper turn at intersection and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Kyle John Geary, 23, of the 11300 block of West 192nd Street in Mokena, was arrested at 12:08 a.m. near South Washington Street and Jackson Avenue, police said. He was charged with wrong way driving and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Jose Zamora, 21, of the 200 block of Grant Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. near South Washington Street and Tamarack Avenue, police said. He was charged with speeding and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Larry James Carde, 31, of the 2600 block of Village Green Drive in Aurora, was arrested at 5:18 a.m. near Fort Hill Drive and West 75th Street, police said. He was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Battery

Charles Vernal Clark, 53, of the 1100 block of Vail Court, was arrested at 6:25 p.m. in the 800 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and battery. His bond was $1,500.

Warrant arrest 

Robert Albert Babl Black, 20, of the 100 block of Newberry Court in Aurora, was arrested at 10 a.m. in the 700 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant and transported to Will County Jail.

Illegal possession/transportation of liquor

Marttell Saul Orozco, 25, of the 1400 block of Ashton Court in Aurora, was arrested at 12:33 a.m. near South West Street and Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with title/registration possession offenses, illegal possession/transportation of liquor and expired registration.

Theft

Over the last month, someone removed a copper bar from a cellular station in the 2300 block of 95th Street, police said. 

Graffiti 

A number of city utility boxes and stop signs had the word "snow" written in red, black, or purple permanent marker, police said. 

Speedy burglar

A woman’s vehicle was burglarized during the time she was bringing items into her apartment on May 31 between 10:30 p.m. and 10:37 p.m. in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, police said.

Chain reaction

A car crashed into pole after swerving off the road to avoid striking a vehicle that had to stop suddenly for a vehicle in front of them near Royce Road and Kiem Road, police said. 

Retail theft

Someone stole $34.92 in women’s garments after hiding the items inside a purse in the 500 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said.
