Police Blotter: Diamond Ring Swiped; Vehicles Burglarized

Tuesday, Aug. 2

Possession of a controlled substance

Erik Kurt Lange, 26, of the 1200 block of Natchez Trace Circle, was arrested at 9:46 p.m. at his home where he was charged on an original warrant from DuPage County for possession of a controlled substance, police said. His bail was seat at $5,000.

Suspended license

Roger Nelson Maradiaga, 37, of the 1300 block of E. Ports-O-Call, Palatine, was arrested at 2:20 p.m. in Naperville – no address given – and charged with an expired registration, operating an uninsured vehicle, aggravated driving with a suspended/revoked license and an outstanding warrant, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County jail.

Angela K. Martin, 29, of the 1700 block of Winterfield Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 3 p.m. in the 1600 block of W. Diehl Road and N. Route 59 where she was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and interfering with an officer, police said.

Warrant arrest

Zane Ronald Krienitz, 20, of the 900 block of N. Brainard Street, turned himself in at the police station at 8:50 p.m. and was charged on three failure to appear warrants from DuPage County, police said. His bail was set at $7,000.

Barbara Lynne Glynn, 59, of the 200 block of Richard Lane, was arrested at 10:53 p.m. at her home where she was charged on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County, police said. Her bail was set at $10,000.

Theft

A 39-year-old woman in the 1600 block of W. Diehl Road reported at 8:15 p.m. that items were stolen from her hotel room. She said a 2.5-karat diamond ring with round diamonds, baguettes and a marquis center stone was taken along with a BlackBerry Torch cellular phone.

A 19-year-old man in the 1900 block of Sandgate Court reported that between 10 p.m. July 27 and 9 a.m. Friday a black LG Saber cellular phone was stolen, police said.

A caller reported in the 2000 block of 95th Street that between 7 p.m. Monday and 6:30 a.m. Tuesday a thief pried a gas cap off a school bus and siphoned gasoline, police said.

Vehicle burglarized

A 46-year-old woman in the 2300 block of Modaff Road reported that between 8:30 p.m. July 14 and 7 p.m. July 15 her vehicle was left unlocked and parked in her garage and she was not sure if garage door was left open or if someone opened it, police said. A GPS and a briefcase were taken but the briefcase was found in the street and returned.

A 25-year-old woman in the 1500 block of Fairway Drive reported that her vehicle was entered between 6:45 and 6:55 a.m., police said. Her house key was stolen. She also reported that her GPS was stolen a week earlier from her vehicle.
