Police Blotter: Craigslist Hook-up Leads to Theft; Possession of Controlled Substances

Friday, July 29

Possession

Deatra Immanuel Green, 24, of the 3900 block of W. Byron, was arrested at 2 p.m. in the 1500 block of N. Route 59 where he was charged with possession of more than 15 grams but less than 100 grams of cocaine and manifestation/distribution of a look-alike substance, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

John Kenneth Pardonnet, 19, of the 2200 block of Nottingham Drive, was arrested at 2:25 a.m. in the 800 block of W. 75th Street where he was charged with possession of cannabis, an improper turn at an intersection, failure to give a signal, squealing/screeching tires, driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Michelle Ann Bushue, 19, of the 80 block of Kensington Circle, Wheaton, was arrested at 2:09 p.m. in the 1300 block of Modaff Road where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance, police said. She was transported to DuPage County Jail. Police said she was seen throwing objects out the passenger window of a moving vehicle, which were later recovered and found to be controlled substances. Additional controlled substances were found in the possession of the driver Kathryn Bushue.

Kathryn Ann Bushue, 37, of the 500 block of Fessler Avenue was arrested at 2:09 p.m. in the 1300 block of Modaff Road where she was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving on a suspended/revoked license. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Lazarus Marco Alvarez, 17, of the 14000 block of Independence Drive, Plainfield, was arrested at 8:01 p.m. in the 4100 block of Easy Circle where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis less than 2.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of theft. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Warrant arrest

Daniel Rober Ossander, 18, of the 1500 block of Conan Doyle Road was arrested at 5:09 p.m. in the 0 block of W. Chicago Avenue and S. Washington Street where he was charged on two failure to appear warrants from DuPage County, police said. His bail was set at $15,000.

Driving on a suspended license

Benita Martinez, 30, of the 8100 block of Waterbury Court, Woodridge, was arrested at 10:29 p.m. at S. Washington Street and Olympus Drive where he was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Violating bond

Morgan Katherine Rodriguez, 18, of the 100 block of N. Sleight Street, was arrested at 10:56 p.m. at home and charged with theft and violating a bail bond, police said. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Driving under the influence

Lauren Maxine Armand, 21, of the 60 block of Forest View Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. at McCoy Drive and S. Route 59 where she was charged with disobeying a traffic control signal, no front/rear plate/permit displayed, two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and following too close, police said. Her bond was set at $100.

Fred Jamal Jordan, 22, of the 25000 block of Roundbarn Road, Plainfield, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. in the 2900 block of 95th Street and S. Route 59 where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle and improper lane use, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Vehicles burglarized

A 52-year-old man in the 500 block of Beconsfield Avenue reported that two unlocked vehicles parked in the driveway were burglarized, police said.

A 40-year-old man in the 500 block of Beaconsfield Avenue reported that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6 a.m. Friday an unlocked vehicle was entered and a GPS and spare change was taken.

Property damage

An 18-year-old man in the 2400 block of Rio Grande Circle reported that a vandal put Superglue in the driver’s door lock sometime overnight, police said.

Suspicious incident

A resident of Shepherd Drive and W. 75th Street found a 15-foot red canoe on the street at about 2:25 a.m., police said.

A 20-year-old woman reported in the 4500 block of Corktree Road that two men came to the door wearing white polo shirts and tan pants and told the here they were there to “treat the sick tree,” police said. She said she was calling the homeowner and they said “not to” and they left.

Theft

A 44-year-old man in the 1800 block of Centre Point Circle reported that cash and jewelry were stolen between 4 a.m. Tuesday and 11:41 a.m. Friday, police said.

A 27-year-old woman in the 4500 block of Duncan Court reported that her iPod was taken from her bedroom on June 28 where she is staying as an au pair.

Saturday, July 30

Driving under the influence

Benjamin Robert Bartz, 28, of the 1200 block of Fordham Glen Drive, Glendale Heights was arrested at 1:12 a.m. in the 20 block of Aurora Avenue and S. Washington Street where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to yield while turning left and driving on the sidewalk, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Garry Craig Marks, 55, of the 0 block of S. Washington Street, was arrested in the 800 block of S. West Street and Emerald Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to give a signal and illegal lane use, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Elizabeth Ann Maze, 33, of the 200 block of N. Wilmette Avenue, Westmont, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. in the 50 block of W. Chicago Avenue and S. Main Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a stop sign, police said. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Warrant arrest

Nicholas Alexander Abbott, 23, of the 40 block of S. Naper Boulevard, was arrested at home at 8:24 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant from Will County, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Derrick Flournoy, 40, of the 200 block of Hudson Court, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 7:51 p.m. in the 800 block of S. Route 59 where he was charged with not wearing a seat belt, driving on a suspended/revoked license and an outstanding failure to appear warrant from DuPage County, police said. His bail was set at $10,000.

Leaving scene of an accident

Gerald Robert Simmons, 25, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 7:38 p.m. in the 400 block of S. Main Street where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage, police said. His bail was set at $1,500.

Sunday, July 31

Driving on a suspended license

Ronnie Lazell Jones, 32, of the 1000 block of Tollview, Aurora, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. in the 2800 block of Aurora Avenue and S. Route 59, where he was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle, operating without insurance on a suspension and driving on a suspended/revoked license, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Interfering with an investigation

Alejandro Martell, 25, of the 300 block of S. Ohio Street, Aurora, was arrested at 1:36 a.m. in the 10 block of W. Chicago Avenue and charged with interfering with an officer, police said. He was arrested after interfering with an investigation at Features. His bond was set at $120.

Driving under the influence

Gaudencio Centeno-Cordero, 41, of the 500 block of E. Galena Blvd, Aurora, was arrested at 1:45 a.m. at Meridian Park and N. Route 59 in Aurora, where he was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and driving without a license, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

James Michael Stetson, 25, of the 200 block of E. 5thAvenue was arrested at 2:15 a.m. in the 500 block of N. Brainard Street and E. 5th Avenue where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the limit, disobeying a stop sign and failure to notify the secretary of state of an address change, police said. His bail was set at $3,000.

Margo Marie Fuller, 27, of the 1600 block of Maple Terrace, Lisle, was arrested at 2:57 a.m. at La Fox Avenue and S. Route 59 where she was charged with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to give signal, illegal lane use and disobeying a traffic control device, police said. Bail was set at $3,000.

Manuel Alanis-Colin, 23, of the 1000 block of Heritage Hill Drive, was arrested at 7:37 p.m. in the 1800 block of Brookdale Road where he was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, disregarding a stop sign, driving on a suspended/revoked license and aggravated driving under the influence/suspended/revoked drivers license, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Alan Plata-Amaro, 21, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 9:56 p.m. in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive and Heritage Hill Drive where he was charged with driving on the sidewalk, failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions, improper lane use, aggravated driving under the influence/no valid drivers license, not wearing a seat belt, unlicensed – no drivers license, improper turn at an intersection, operating an uninsured vehicle and no front/rear plate/permit displayed, police said. He was involved in a one-car rollover accident at 7:41 p.m., which led to the charges. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Possession of cannabis

Adam Michael Stine, 20, of the 2700 block of Wendy Drive was arrested at 5:19 a.m. in the 900 block of Savannah Circle where he was charged with consumption of liquor by a minor and possession of cannabis, police said. His bond was set at $120.

Illegal possession of liquor

Jose Luis Alanis-Colin, 19, of the 1000 block of Heritage Hill Drive, was arrested at 19:37 p.m. in the 1800 block of Brookdale Road and charged with illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a passenger and not wearing a seat belt, police said.

Injured bike rider

It was reported at 12:25 p.m. that a 55-year-old man fell off his bicycle while riding southbound on Washington Street south of Hillside, police said. He was transported by the fire department for a facial laceration.

Theft

A 38-year-old woman in the 800 block of Benedetti Drive reported that she posted on Craigslist that she was looking for a “friend with benefits” and a man responded and met her at her residence, police said. After the man left she discovered her wallet was missing and taken between 4 a.m. and 5:30 a.m.

Stolen bike

A 13-year-old reported at 1 p.m. that someone stole his blue BMX “Matt Hoffman” bicycle and left another “mountain bike” in its place while he was at a friend’s house in the 1500 block of Lighthouse Drive, police said.

Vehicle egged

A 23-year-old man in the 1800 block of Clyde Drive reported at 10:09 p.m. that someone threw eggs at his vehicle causing the paint to chip, police said.
