Police Blotter: Cell Call Leads to Accident, Check Book Stolen During Mass
Naperville Police Department reports, April 25
Manufacture and delivery
Connor Edward Kelly, 20, of the 3400 block of Poet Court, was arrested at 5:22 p.m. at Plainfield-Naperville Road and Conan Doyle Road, said. He was charged with manufacture and delivery of controlled substances, and taken to the Will County Jail.
Possession
- Daniel Marc Wilson, 19, of the 3600 block of South Winchester Drive in Chicago, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. in the 200 block of South Washington Street and West Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.
- Demir Mujagic, 18, of the 1200 block of Whispering Hills Court, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. at South Washington Street and West Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with possession of cannabis. His bond was $120.
Leaving the scene
Police said Zora Alexandra F. Bartles, 22, of the 16000 block of South Legion Court in Plainfield, was arrested at 9:46 a.m. in the 1200 block of North Mill Street. She was charged with failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage. Her bail was $1,500.
Unlicensed
Dolores Garcia-Avila, 24, of the 300 block of East Blair Street in West Chicago, was arrested at 7:23 p.m. at Interstate 88 and North Route 59, police said. She told police she was moving slowly with traffic, which was backed up on Route 59 near I-88, when her phone rang. As she reached for it, she pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, rear-ending the vehicle in front of her, according to reports. She was charged with failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and driving without a license. Her bail was $1,500.

Theft
- A 52-year-old man reported his secured bike was stolen from the Metra station bike rack on Tuesday between 6:45 a.m. and 5 p.m., police said.
- Police said a 75-year-old woman in the 700 block of Aurora Avenue reported her checkbook was stolen from her purse when she went up to communion at Mass on Sunday.
Suspicious incident
Police said a 59-year-old woman in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive reported that someone loosened the lug nuts on the driver’s side front tire of her vehicle between 9 p.m. Monday and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
