Bailing on Cab Fare

A 25-year-old taxi driver reported that he picked up a customer in Chicago and drove him to the area near Cassin Road and Riverlea Circle in Naperville around 5:20 a.m., and the suspect jumped out of the cab and ran. The driver said he was owed $99 for the ride.

Ryan P. Kingsmill, 35, of the 500 block of Yellowstone Lane in Yorkville, was arrested around 4:45 a.m. at McDonalds, 1520 N. Naper Blvd. Police said they found Kingsmill passed out behind the wheel of his truck in the restaurant's parking lot. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of unauthorized use of a handicapped parking space. His bail was set at $3,000.

Bradley J. Taylor, 22, of the 600 block of Warrenville Road in Warrenville, was arrested around 4:50 a.m. in the 900 block of Millrace Lane. Police said they pulled over Taylor for running a stop sign, and after investigation they determined he was intoxicated. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and his bail was set at $3,000.

Violating an Order of Protection

Stoney Barksdale, 48, of the 1100 block of Woodward Avenue in Woodridge, was arrested around 3:15 p.m. and charged with violating an order of protection.

Five For Fighting

Brandon S. Fox, 25, of the 32900 block of South Indian Trail Road in Wilmington, was arrested around 12:15 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue. He was charged with fighting. His bail was set at $1,200.

Joel A. Billstrom, 22, of the 2200 block of Fairfax Road in St. Charles, was arrested around 1:50 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue and charged with fighting. His bail was set at $1,200.

Derik D. Kostellic, 22, of the 200 block of Deerfield Estates in Oglesby, was arrested around 1:50 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue and was charged with fighting. His bail was set at $1,200.

Wesley A. Kostellic, 25, of the 200 block of Deerfield Estates in Oglesby, was arrested around 1:50 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue and was charged with fighting. His bail was set at $1,200.

Jason W. Heckler, 23, of the 200 block of East Fifth Avenue in Naperville, was arrested shortly after midnight in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue. He was charged with fighting. His bail was set at  $1,200.

Burglary From a Motor Vehicle

A 61-year-old man, of the 600 block of Edward Road in Naperville, reported that someone entered his vehicle overnight and took an unspecified item from his center console. He said he believed the item was stolen between 8 p.m. Oct. 2 and 11 a.m. Oct. 3.

A 22-year-old man, of the 1100 block of South Naper Boulevard in Naperville, reported $47 and a check card missing from his wallet, which was in the center console of his vehicle. He said he believed someone stole the items from the car between 8 p.m. Oct. 2 and 1 p.m. Oct. 3.

Forgery

John C. Marstellar, 42, of the 10500 block of South Major Avenue in Chicago Ridge, was arrested around 8 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., and charged with forgery and having a fictitious/altered identification card. His bail was set at $1,000.

Edwin Morales, 50, of the 4200 block of West Gladys Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in the 2900 block of Audrey Avenue and charged with forgery and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was set at $1,500.

Battery

Timothy C. Lillie, 23, of the 200 block of Hathaway Avenue in West Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue. He was charged with battery and his bail was set at $1,000.

Tasha A. Lillie, 22, of the 200 block of Hathaway Avenue in West Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue. She was charged with battery causing bodily harm and simple battery. Her bail was set at $1,000.

Jonathan A. Penninger, 21, of the 600 block of South 9th Avenue in St. Charles, was arrested around 2 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue. He was charged with battery and his bail was set at $1,000.

Warrant Arrest

William Moore, 60, of the 3100 block of West 15th Street in Chicago, was arrested on a warrant around midnight at an unspecified location in Naperville. He also was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle.

James D. Marstellar, 51, of the 4200 block of West Gladys Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in the 1800 block of High Grove Lane on a warrant. He also was charged with obstructing identification and obstructing justice.

Saturday, Oct, 2

Illegal Transportation of Alcohol

Mario Alguilar, 26, of the 7200 block of South Central Park Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 1 a.m. near the intersection of West Diehl Road and Wall Street. He was charged with driving without a valid driver's license, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, driving with only one headlight and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His bail was set at $2,000.

Hit and Run

A 58-year-old man reported that his 2008 Toyota Sienna had been damaged while parked in a parking lot the 900 block of East Ogden Avenue. He said he believed someone hit his car between 1:15 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Eggs Damage Window

A 51-year-old man, of the 900 block of Rockbridge Drive in Naperville, reported that someone had thrown eggs at the front of his house, breaking a piece of stained glass. He said he believed the damage occurred around 10:50 p.m.

Public Urination

Police said they found six men urinating in the first block of East Chicago Avenue in downtown Naperville around 2:30 a.m. They then arrested the six men, whose names were not listed in the police report, and cited them for public urination.

Possession of Marijuana

Ngoc Hong Le, 19, of the 2000 block of Stephen Street in Aurora, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Aurora Road and North Route 59. She was charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana and speeding over the statutory limit. Her bail was set at $1,200.

Jeremy A. Willis, 21, of the 600 block of Oak Avenue in Aurora, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. near the intersection of North Aurora Road and North Route 59. He was charged with possession of more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of marijuana. His bail was set at $1,000.

Karina Rocha, 21, of the 600 block of South Lincoln Avenue in Aurora, was arrested around 11:40 p.m. near the intersection of North Aurora Road and North Route 59 and charged with possession of less than 2.5 grams of marijuana. Her bail was set at $75.

Driving Under the Influence

David J. Zdenovec, 43, of the 500 block of Cimarron Drive West in Aurora, was arrested around 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of Maplefield and Plainfield Naperville roads. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and driving a vehicle with an expired registration. His bail was set at $3,000.

Andrew J. Ray, 31, of the 100 block of Colonial Parkway in Yorkville, was arrested around 2 a.m. near the intersection of West Ogden Avenue and Rickert Drive. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, one count of failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and one count of leaving the scene of an accident with vehicle damage. His bail was set at $3,000.

Jon G. Walgren, 52, of the 200 block of Bay Colony Drive in Naperville, was arrested around 5:25 a.m. near the intersection of Clyde Drive and West 87th Street. He was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection, improper lane use and two counts of driving under the influence. His bail was set at $3,000.

Laura C. Gasparas. 26, of the 13900 block of South Oregon Drive in Plainfield, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington and West 87th streets. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of improper lane use. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Warrant Arrest

Robyn C. Mentgen, 36, of the 1500 block of Westminster Lane in Aurora, was arrested around 10:45 a.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., on a failure-to-appear warrant. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Friday, Oct. 1

Driving Under the Influence

Dariusz T. Rejmak, 28, of the 11300 block of Champion Court West in Plainfield, was arrested around 1:20 a.m. near the intersection of South Route 59 and Leverenz Road. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of illegal lane use and failure to use a turn signal when required. His bail was set at  $3,000.

Angel R. Montiel, 22, of the 4900 block of Keller Street in Lisle, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. near the intersection of West Ogden Avenue and North Washington Street on an original DuPage County warrant. He also was charged with failing to yield the right of way to an emergency vehicle, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving on a suspended/revoked license, speeding over the statutory limit, following too closely, failure to use a turn signal when required, improper lane use, driving under the influence, aggravated driving under the influence, illegal transportation of liquor by a driver and obstructing identification.

Suspicious Credit Card Activity

A manager at Steak 'N Shake, 1620 N. Route 59, reported that the driver of a vehicle with four passengers attempted to use three different VISA cards and prepaid Mastercard credit cards to pay for an order. The first three cards were declined, and when the cashier swiped the fourth — a MasterCard — the register indicated that it may have been stolen. Before police arrived, the customer used a fifth card, also a MasterCard, which went through successfully. The group then left the scene in a four-door, black Impala.

Possession of Marijuana

Kevin C. McPhee, 19, of the 4400 block of Brittany Drive in Lisle, was arrested around 9 p.m. in the 400 block of South Main Street on a failure-to-appear warrant out of Will County. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Retail Theft

Ernesto Perez-Gomez, 39, of the first block of North Main Street in Naperville, was arrested around 2:30 p.m. at Walmart, 776 S. Route 59 in Naperville. He was charged with retail theft and his bail was set at $120.

Illegal Consumption of Alcohol

Hugo Gonzalez, 20, of the 500 block of Vest Avenue in Naperville, was arrested around 1:35 a.m. near the intersection of West Ogden Avenue and North Washington Street. He was charged with illegal transportation of liquor by a passenger and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

A 52-year-old woman, of the 2800 block of Stonewater Drive in Naperville, reported a GPS missing from her tan 2003 Suzuki XL-7. She said she believed the device was stolen between 10 p.m. Sept. 30 and 8:30 a.m. Oct. 1.

A 61-year-old man, of the 1100 block of Hyde Park Lane in Naperville, reported a GPS missing from his unlocked vehicle. He said he believed the GPS, which is valued around $120, was stolen between 10:30 p.m. Sept. 30 and 9:15 a.m. Oct. 1.

A 54-year-old woman, of the 400 block of Prairie Knolls Drive, reported a GPS, iPhone charger and $5 bill missing from her unlocked vehicle. She said she believed the items were stolen between 10 p.m. Sept. 30 and 10:50 a.m. Oct. 1.

Missing Purse

A 45-year-old woman reported around 9:55 a.m. that shortly before that time, her purse was missing from inside her garage in the 2400 block of Durango Lane in Naperville. She said she set the purse down near the service door while hosting a garage sale. She said she believes it was taken within 10 minutes of her doing so.

Warrant Arrest

Andrew M. Valentine, 21, of the 2700 block of Bristol Drive in Lisle, was arrested around 11 a.m. near the intersection of East Chicago and South Charles avenues on a DuPage County failure-to-appear warrant. He also was charged with driving without a valid driver's license and following too closely. His bail was set at $6,000.

Rafael R. Arteaga, 31, of the 2100 block of North Lorel Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 11 a.m. in the 2900 block of Audrey Avenue on a DuPage County failure-to-appear warrant.

Gregory J. Trucksa, 26, of the 100 block of Mayfield Drive in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 9 p.m. near the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and East 75th Street on two failure-to-appear warrants.

Matthew A. Barrera, 18, of the 3000 block of Lacomia Avenue in Aurora, was arrested around 4:15 p.m. in the 100 block of South Wright Street on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County. His bail was set at $5,000.

Intimidation

Ashish Gupta, 38, of the 1900 block of Danube Way in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 10:40 p.m. in the 3000 block of Book Road. Police said he was harassing a 20-year-old woman who is a witness in an active case against him. He was charged with harassment of a representative witness and taken to the Will County Jail.
