Friday, Dec. 30

Driving under the influence

  • Stacy Elizabeth Antonsen, 27, of the 1500 block of Bur Oak Circle in Aurora, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. at 7th Avenue and North Washington Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and making an improper turn at an intersection. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Brenton James Trumpy, 23, of the 3500 block of Rollingridge Road was arrested at 1:51 a.m. in the 2800 block of Deering Bay Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, two counts of failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions, driving without insurance, improper lane use and illegal lane use. His bond was $100.
  • Kamakshi Lakshmi Sishtla, 29, of the 8400 block of Chelsea Lane in Woodridge, was arrested at 1:56 a.m. at West Chicago Avenue and South Washington Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and violating the lights and lamps act. Her bail was $3,000.

Assault

Kewanis Cornell Haynes, 46, of the 600 block of Beaver Court, was arrested at 6 p.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with assault. His bail was $1,500.

Suspended license

Aaron Martinez, 20, of the 1800 block of Maroon Bells in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 8:42 p.m. in the 4900 block of South Route 59 and 111th Street, police said. He was charged with having an expired registration, driving without insurance and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $2,000.

Unlicensed

Carlos Roberto Cardona-Diaz, 33, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 8:38 p.m. at Millennium Lane and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving without a rear license plate light, obstructing identification, driving without a license and driving without insurance. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant arrest

Kayla Jo Swearingen, 23, of the 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue, was arrested at 11:24 a.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Avenue, police said. She was charged on a failure to appear warrant. Her bond was $1,000. She turned herself in on a warrant from DeWitt County.

Criminal damage

A 47-year-old man in the 100 block of South Columbia Street reported that between 11 p.m. Thursday and 10:13 a.m. Friday someone tipped over his decorative planters outside of his home and threw landscaping bricks at his car, which was parked on the street. The estimated damage to the vehicle, police said, was about $1,200.

Theft

A 51-year-old woman in the 1200 block of Brook Lane reported that someone removed a box that was delivered to her home and left on her front steps, police said. The box was found one block over. 

Drunkards

Police reported that on Dec. 27 a number of people were cited in the 500 block of Tupelo Drive in connection with underage drinking in a garage, police said.

Driving under the influence

  • Shawn G. Strahota, 28, of the 2000 block of Pepper Valley Drive in Geneva, was arrested at 12:13 a.m. in the 70 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. His bond was $100.
  • Neil Kevin Kitchen, 30, of the 5000 block of Portsmouth Drive in Findlay, was arrested at 12:20 a.m. in the 100 block of South River Road and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device, speeding and failing to yield turning left. His bail was $3,000.
  • Jennifer Lynn Sparks, 40, of the 500 block of Bighorn Road, was arrested at 12:52 a.m. in the 800 block of North Columbia Street and Monticello Drive, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Her bond was $100.
  • Michael J. Genzer, 45, of the 3600 block of Breitwieser Lane, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. in the 900 block of South Route 59 and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding over the limit. Police said Genzer was driving 72 mph in a 40 mph zone. His bond was $100.

Criminal trespass

Quintin Omari Robinson, 21, of the 3600 block of East New York Street in Aurora, was arrested at 10:31 p.m. in the 1300 block of Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with Illinois Vehicle Code offenses and with criminal trespass to land. His bail was $1,500.

Suspended license

Keith Douglass Clay, 54, of the 2000 Crossing Lane, was arrested at 7:05 p.m. at Lexington Lane and Fieldcrest Drive, police said. He was charged with failure to give a signal and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500. 

Battery

Joseph Robert Olczak, 22, of the 23000 block of Douglas Drive in Plainfield, was arrested at 1:52 a.m. in the 10 block of West Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of battery. His bail was $1,500. Police said he punched a man in the face causing his nose and mouth to bleed. Olczak was allegedly upset because the other man had been talking to Olczak’s girlfriend, police said.

Attempted burglary

An 18-year-old man in the 500 block of Braemar Avenue reported that someone tried to enter the back porch door of the home after 7 p.m. The man was scared off by residents, but managed to damage the doorframe, police said.

Driving under the influence

  • Earnest Lamonte Jones, 22, of the 1500 block of North State Street in Chicago, was arrested at 3:08 a.m. at West Diehl Road and Country Lakes Drive, police said. He was charged with failing to signal, illegal lane use and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Laura Avila, 34, of the 5 South 400 block of Vest Avenue, was arrested at 7:34 p.m. in the 900 block of West Ogden Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving in the wrong lane and driving without insurance.
  • David John Cave, 42, of the 300 block of South Whispering Hills Drive, was arrested at 3:31 a.m. in the 300 block of South Whispering Hills Drive, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of failing to notify the Secretary of State of an address change, obstructed windshield and or rear window and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $3,000.

Damaging property

Phillip A. Blacklaw, 24, of the 3600 block of Falkner Drive, was arrested at 5:24 a.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with knowingly damaging property. His bail was $1,500.

False identification

Jose Enrique Galindo, 25, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 12:32 a.m. in the 1500 block of North Route 59, police said. He was charged with possession of a false identification card. His bond was $120. 

Warrant arrest

  • Sylvester Anthony Herring, 36, of the 1600 block of Farmside Lane in Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at Fort Hill Drive and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged on four outstanding warrants and with driving over the limit – driving 57 mph in a 40 mph zone, driving on a suspended/revoked license and driving without insurance. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Juan L. Hernandez, 37, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 8:52 p.m. in the 500 block of West Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive, police said. He was charged on an outstanding warrant, making an improper turn at an intersection, driving without insurance and driving without a license. 

Criminal damage

Someone reported that an unknown person damaged a sign in front of a building in the 1800 block of Abriter Court, police said.

Theft

A 32-year-old woman reported that her iPhone was stolen when she left it on the bar at Peanuts, police said.

Monday, Jan. 2

Driving under the influence

Irving Alberto Cruz, 22, of the 1600 block of Coach Drive, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance, driving without a license, disregarding a stop sign, driving in the wrong lane and leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage. 

Warrant arrest

Sean Michael Rogers, 19, of the 100 block of Norton Street in LaPorte, Ind., was arrested at 8:49 p.m. in the 300 block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged on a failure to appear warrant. His bond was $175. 

Suspended license

Joaquin P. Velazquez, 32, of the 400 block of LaSalle in Aurora, was arrested at 12:29 a.m. at North Route 59 and Granada Court, police said. He was charged with violating the lights and lamps act and driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500.

Retail theft

  • Christian Andrew Wheeler, 18, of the 1000 block of Kimberly Way in Lisle, was arrested at 6:29 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bond was $120. Police said he stole a 12-ounce bottle of Zmax engine treatment valued at $20.99.
  • Rosalinda Lozano Fuentes, 44, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 6:28 p.m. at Walmart, 776 South Route 59, police said. She was charged with retail theft and obstructing identification. Police said she stole a pair of pants, gloves and a handbag from a store. Her bail was $1,500.
  • A 34-year-old man was cited with retail theft after taking a camera at a business in the 500 block of Fort Hill Drive, police said.

Theft

  • Lorne H. Russell, 50, of the 2800 block of Troon Drive in Montgomery, was arrested at 2:21 p.m. at Lexus of Naperville, 2480 Aurora Ave., police said. He was charged with theft. His bail was $1,500.
  • Michael Hubbard, 52, of the 2200 block of Rebecca Court in Montgomery, was arrested at 2:21 p.m. at Lexus of Naperville, 2480 Aurora Ave., police said. He was charged with theft. His bail was $1,500.
  • A 21-year-old man in the 3600 block of Brooksedge Avenue reported that a rear license plate was removed from a vehicle between 8 p.m. and 11:59 a.m., police said.

Obstructing justice

Angel I. Flores-Carapia, 25, of the 100 block of Douglas Avenue, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, police said. He was charged with obstructing justice.

Unlicensed

Luis Fernando Villegas, 43, of the 700 block of Inland Circle, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Longridge Court, police said. He was charged with driving without a license. His bail was $1,500.

Criminal damage

A 49-year-old man in the 200 block of Spice Circle reported that at about 9:13 p.m. his house had been egged for the second time in two weeks, police said.

Juvenile nuisance

  • A 46-year-old man in the 600 block of North Eagle Street said eggs were thrown and hit the front of the house, the roof, near the front bedroom window and the passenger side of the vehicle parked in the driveway, police said.
  • A man reported in the 2400 block of High Meadow Road that the mailbox was vandalized when eggs were crushed inside and mail was destroyed, police said.
