Police Blotter: Battery, Driving Under the Influence, Criminal Damage

Naperville Police Department reports, Oct. 21-23

Friday, Oct. 21

Warrant arrest

Roohi Najeemuddin, 28, of the 2100 block of Northwind Circle, was arrested at 9:14 p.m. at South Route 59 and LaCrosse Lane, where she was charged on a warrant, said. Her bail was $2,500.

Retail theft

Kyle Adam Scheuerlein, 18, of the 29 West 500 block of Country Ridge Road, Warrenville, was arrested at 11:29 a.m., police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bond was $150.

Driving without insurance

Katrice Erica Williams, 37, of the 2500 block of Durango Lane, was arrested at 9:21 p.m. at West Ogden Avenue and Feldott Lane, police said. She was charged with operating a vehicle without insurance, a title/registration offense and an expired registration. Her bail was $2,000.

Massage violation

  • Siwei Zhang, 40, of the 300 block of West Garvey Avenue, Monterey Park, CA, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Washington Street, police said. She was charged with a violation of the massage licensing act. Her bail was $1,500.
  • Meiying Xu, 49, of the 900 block of North Garfield Avenue, Alhambra, CA, was arrested at 8:22 p.m. in the 1800 block of South Washington Street, where she was charged with prostitution and violation of the massage licensing act, police said. Her bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Katherine Marie Lodge, 25, of the 1600 block of Robin Lane, Lisle, was arrested at 1:34 a.m. at North River Road and West Ogden Avenue, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and violating the lights and lamps act. Her bail was $3,000.

Identity theft

Richard Edison Parker, 53, of the 2400 block of Cranberry Lane, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. in the 2400 block of Monarch Drive, where police said he was charged on an original warrant for identity theft and receiving illegal goods. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Saturday, Oct. 22

Driving without a license

  • Jaquil Apriel Brown-Perry, 28, of the 2600 block of St. Tropez, Lisle, was arrested at 3:22 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Naper Boulevard and Barcroft Court, where police said she was charged with driving without a license, driving without insurance and speeding. Her bail was $2,000.
  • Marco Antonio Almaraz, 25, of the 800 block of Fifth Street, Aurora, was arrested at 1:29 a.m. at Aurora Avenue and Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving without insurance and driving without a license. His bail was $2,000. 

Driving under the influence

  • Ryan Mark Dennewitz, 20, of the first block of Halfday Road, Lincolnshire, was arrested at 12:17 a.m. in the 2900 block of 95th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with making an improper turn at an intersection, failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.
  • Laura Bryce Pettit, 21, of the 200 block of Douglass Way, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at West 87th Street and South Washington Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Bret Gerald Harms, 46, of the 700 block of Ashton Avenue, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. at North Washington Street and West Fifth Avenue, police said. He was charged with not wearing a seat belt, failing to signal, squealing his tires, disregarding a stop sign, improper lane use, violating the lights and lamps act, driving without insurance, two counts of speeding over the limit, driving under the influence of alcohol, following too close, failing to yield to an emergency vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was $3,000.
  • Robert Edward Ohara, 46, of the 3400 block of Breiwieser Lane, was arrested at 1:50 a.m. in the 800 block of South Route 59 and McCoy Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to give a signal, improper lane use and making an improper turn at an intersection.
  • John Stephen Connor, 62, of the 1N500 block of Forest Avenue, Glen Ellyn, was arrested at 7:53 p.m. at North Naper Boulevard and East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance, failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and leaving the scene of an accident. His bail was $3,000.
  • Tara Noel Robinson, 40, of the 800 block of Amli Court, Aurora, was arrested at 10:52 p.m. at North Route 59 and East Interstate 88, where police said she was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal lane use. Her bond was $100.
  • Ryan Christopher Rajab, 28, of the 1800 block of Tall Oaks Drive, Aurora, was arrested at 1:33 a.m. at North Aurora Road and Waterfall Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His bail was $3,000. 

Warrant arrest

Joseph Scott Martinez, 35, of the 1300 block of Danada Court, was arrested at 3:36 a.m. at his home where he was charged on a warrant from DuPage County, police said. His bond was $750.

Suspended license

Gustava Gabriel Zalasar, 38, of the 2700 block of Shelley Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 12:07 a.m. in the 1200 block of Book Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and driving without insurance. His bail was $2,000.

Sunday, Oct. 23

Battery

  • Benjamin Charles Churillo, 27, of the 14000 block of Brighton Court, Orland Park, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with battery. His bail was $1,500.
  • Erick Anthony Boyce, 26, of the 7300 block of Evergreen Drive, Orland Park, was arrested in the first block of East Chicago Avenue, where police said he was charged with battery.
  • Ryan M. Scandiff, 23, of the 600 block of North Eagle Street, was arrested at 1:35 a.m. in the first block of West Chicago Avenue, where he was charged with battery, resisting an officer and criminal damage to state property, police said.
  • Anthony Robert Tortorello, 26, of the 1000 block of Colonial Drive, Joliet, was arrested at 2:32 a.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue, police said. He was charged with battery. His bail was $1,500.
  • Andrew William Johnson, 23, of the 300 block of Circle Avenue, Forest Park, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. in the first block of Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with battery. His bail was $1,500.
  • Kenneth Allen Cepican, 22, of the 3700 block of South 59th Avenue, Cicero, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with battery and criminal damage to state property. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

  • Rahul Sarraf, 21, of the 200 block of East Bailey Road, was arrested at 2:53 a.m. at West Ogden Avenue and Shandrew Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, making an improper turn at an intersection and disobeying a traffic control device. His bail was $3,000.
  • Samantha Alexis Sacckette, 20, of the 100 block of North State Street, Aurora, was arrested at 3:57 a.m. in the 1900 block of West Jefferson Avenue and South Route 59, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal lane use, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver and disobeying a traffic control device. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Randy Marquette Jones, 24, of the 4100 block of Chesapeake Landing, Aurora, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. at West Fifth Avenue and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to give a signal, speeding and violating the lights and lamps act. His bail was $3,000. 

Disorderly conduct

Mark Michael Lehman, 31, of the 4500 block of South Clayton Avenue, Hillside, was arrested at 12:21 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct. His bail was $1,500. 

Resisting an officer

Wade Victor Koch, 19, of the last known address in the 1000 block of Mesa Drive, Eagle, CO was arrested at 1:50 p.m. at South Webster Street and Jackson Avenue, police said. He was charged with resisting an officer and obstructing identification. He was taken to the DuPage County Bond Court.

Criminal damage

Several residents reported damaged mailboxes overnight, according to police. The mailboxes were damaged in the 2000 block of Keim Drive, 2000 block of Fairoak Court, 900 block of Hidden Lake Road, 2200 block of Keim Road, 1700 block of Indian Knoll Road and two reports on the 1000 block of Augustana Drive. The mailboxes ranged in value from $35 to $100.
