Police Blotter: Battery, Breaching the Peace, Excessive Speeding

Naperville Police Department reports, March 23-25

Friday, March 23 

Retail theft

Samuel Akinola Odutola, 19, of the 800 block of Teasel Lane in Aurora, was arrested at 12:19 p.m. at Whole Foods, 2607 W. 75th St., police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bond was $120.

Driving under the influence

  • Charles James Drager, 21, of the 2600 block of Normandy Place in Lisle, was arrested at 11:22 p.m. at East Ogden Avenue and North Columbia Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding over the limit and following too close. His bail was $3,000.
  • Police said Emily Curry, 21, of the 700 block of Zaininger Avenue, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. in the first block of East Chicago Avenue. She was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs, driving while under the influence of alcohol and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver. Her bail was $3,000.

Violating bail

Michael Rodriguez, 25, of the 500 block of Center Street, was arrested at 12:22 a.m. in the first block of West 87th Street, police said. He was charged with unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance and violating a bail bond, He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Suspended license

  • Police said Kevin Michael Bee, 30, of the 300 block of Center Street, was arrested at 9:18 p.m. at Clyde Drive and Lark Lane. He was charged with driving while on a suspended/revoked license, driving while uninsured and having an expired registration. His bail was $2,000.
  • Emily Rebekah Ruse, 31, of the 2100 block of Allegre Circle, was arrested at 7:45 p.m. at Waterfall Street and Windward Avenue, police said. She was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and on an outstanding warrant. Her bail was $1,500.

Possession

  • Nicholas Russel Majszuk, 29, of the 700 block of Bohannon Circle in Oswego, was arrested at 11:32 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged on two original warrants from DuPage County and related to possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Police said Adam Walter Majszuk, 34, of the 700 block of Bohannon Circle in Oswego, was arrested in the 1400 block of East Ogden Avenue. He was charged on an original warrant related to possession of a controlled substance and possession of cannabis more than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Uninsured

Mario Antonio Galvan-Rivera, 24, of the 2500 block of Waterbury in Woodridge, was arrested at 5:39 p.m. at West 75th Street and Plainfield-Naperville Road, police said. He was charged with failure to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions, driving while uninsured and driving without a license. His bail was $2,000.

Saturday, March 24

Disorderly conduct

Samuel Kroy Ostergaard, 22, of the 900 block of Tim Tam Circle, was arrested at 1:39 a.m. in the first block of Jackson Avenue, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct. His bond was $120.

Driving under the influence

  • Police said Marissa Domenique Martinez, 22, of the 200 block of Walsh Circle in Yorkville, was arrested at 2:14 a.m. at Aurora Avenue and Berry Drive. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Kyle N. Gadke, 26, of the 3500 block of 83rd Street in Woodridge, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. at East 75th and South Washington streets, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving in the wrong lane. His bail was $3,000.

Possession

Billy Harrison Brown, 45, of the 500 block of West Walker Road in Plainfield, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. in the 600 block of East Ogden Avenue and North Columbia Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence/suspended and or revoked license, failing to signal, possession of cannabis—more than 10 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper lane use. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Warrant arrest

Kieran Vaughn Bailey, 27, of the 500 block of North View Street in Aurora, was arrested at 2:22 a.m. at South Washington Street and West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged on two failure to appear warrants. His bail was $8,000.

Battery

Pablo Pollen Setien, 34, of the 500 block of 4th Street in DeKalb, was arrested at 12:34 a.m. at Rizzo's, 6 W. Jefferson Ave., police said. He was charged with battery. He was arrested in connection with kicking the bouncer, according to police reports. His bail was $1,500.

Sunday, March 25

Disorderly conduct

Jessica Lynn Rice, 24, of the first block of Abbeywood Drive in Romeoville, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. at Rizzo's, 6 W. Jefferson Ave., police said. She was charged with disorderly conduct. Police reported that she was "highly intoxicated" and “causing a breach of the peace.” Her bond was $120.

Possession

Police said Jeremy Jeiming Lai, 22, of the 700 block of Colorado Court, was arrested at 1:59 a.m. at Gateshead and Wendy drives. He was charged with speeding more than 30 mph over the speed limit, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis, more than 2.5 grams and less than 10 grams. He was stopped after police said he was speeding 93 mph in a 45-mph zone and a tow inventory revealed the cannabis and paraphernalia. His bail was $2,000.

Vehicle burglary

A 19-year-old woman in the 2800 block of Showplace Drive reported that a GPS was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while she was at the movies between 6:50  and 9 p.m., police said.

Theft

A 34-year-old man in the 1100 block of Iroquois Avenue reported that between Friday night and Saturday night his bike was stolen from a shared bike room at an apartment complex, police said.

Criminal damage

  • Police said an 18-year-old woman reported that between 9:30 and 11 p.m. Saturday, someone scratched the passenger side door of a Jeep Cherokee while it was left in a parking garage at 75 E. Chicago Ave.
  • A 53-year-old man in the 600 block of Jackson Avenue reported that sometime overnight a BB was used to shoot out a rear vehicle window, police said.
