Sunday, May 15

Driving under influence of drugs

Police said Kevin M. Smith, 21, of the 3N300 block of Ponderosa Drive in St. Charles, was arrested around 2 p.m. in the 2000 block of Aurora Avenue. He was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and possession of a controlled substance.

Adam P. Gemeinhardt, 26, of the 500 block of Happ Road in Northfield, was arrested around 3 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Street and Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of violating the lights and lamps act. His bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Davion D. Perry, 22, of the 500 block of Emerson Court in Bolingbrook, was arrested around 3 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington and West 87th streets. He was charged with improper lane use, violating the Lights and Lamps Act and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was set at $3,000.

William F. Phillips, 21, of the 300 block of North Oakhurst Drive in Aurora, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of Wild Cherry Road and Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of speeding, improper lane use and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His bail was set at $3,000.

Saturday, May 14

Attempted robbery

A 16-year-old boy was walking to his friend's house around 7:45 p.m. near the intersection of Cloverdale Road and Joe Willie Court in , when a driver stopped his vehicle in the middle of the roadway and got out, according to the police report. The man demanded the boy's iPod and money and the victim ran away, said the report. He was tackled by the suspect but eventually escaped with no loss of property.

Criminal trespassing to vehicle

Police said Porsha L. Dobson, 18, of the 6600 block of South Hamilton Avenue in Chicago, was arrested around 1 a.m. in the 400 block of Laura Court. She was charged with criminal trespass to a vehicle, theft, resisting a peace officer, driving without a valid driver's license and driving without wearing a seat belt.

'MacGyver type' explosive

A 45-year-old man, of the 2400 block of Hillsboro Lane in , reported that someone threw a "MacGyver type" explosive in a water bottle in his driveway, according to the report. The bottle blew up around 9:30 p.m.

Driving under influence of alcohol

Jonathan D. Vogt, 25, of the 30700 block of Village Green in Warrenville, was arrested around 7 a.m. near the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and Dunrobin Road, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use, possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries. His bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Michael Palacios, 23, of the 2300 block of Gray Hawk Drive in Plainfield, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Street and South Naper Boulevard. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. His bail was set at $3,000.

Justin R. O'Connor, 24, of the 22W200 block of Hackberry Drive in Glen Ellyn, was arrested around 2:45 a.m. near the intersection of Aurora Avenue and South Main Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count of violating the Lights and Lamps Act. His bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Joseph J. Szarek, 33, of the first block of East Wilson Street in Batavia, was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Rickert Drive and West Ogden Avenue. He was arrested after he rear-ended a vehicle, police said, and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to reduce speed. His bail was set at $3,000.

Maribeth Bolger, 49, of the first block of North Forestview Lane in Aurora, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. in the 400 block of South Eagle Street, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a seat belt and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Window holes

A 53-year-old man, of the 4300 block of Camelot Circle in , reported that some time between 10 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday, someone ripped holes in five of his windows' screens.

Warrant arrest

Police said Autumn D. Weeks, 23, of the 400 block of Park Ridge Lane in Aurora, was arrested around 3:15 p.m. at Target, 1951 W. Jefferson Ave., on two warrants. She was charged with theft after police said she had stolen $522.35 in merchandise. Her bail was set at $120.

Shaquerra A. Fultz, 24, of the 400 block of Echo Lane in Aurora, was arrested around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Liberty Street and North Route 59 on a failure-to-appear warrant, police said.

Possession of marijuana plants

Police said James T. Loughlin, 51, of the 300 block of Cottonwood Lane in , was arrested around 10 a.m. at his home. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana plants.

Friday, May 13

Retail theft

Thomas J. Mahoney, 35, of the 6100 block of Stafford Street in Plainfield, was arrested around 8 p.m. in the 200 block of South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with retail theft and possession of marijuana. His bail was set at $120.

Police said Roxanne I. Christiansen, 31, of the 6100 block of Stafford Street in Plainfield, was arrested around 8 p.m. in the 200 block of South Washington Street. She was charged with retail theft. Her bail was set at $120.

Battery causing bodily harm

Jeffrey S. Phipps, 51, of the 2300 block of Kentuck Court in , was arrested around 8:30 p.m. at his home after he threw a Lufkin tape measure at the windshield of a vehicle during an altercation that had occurred at 103rd Street and Book Road, police said. The windshield of the vehicle shattered and the victim suffered minor cuts from the glass fragments, according to the report. He was charged with disorderly conduct, battery, battery causing bodily harm and criminal damage to a vehicle. His bail was set at $1,500.

Disorderly conduct, allegedly damaging property

Police said Sylvester M. O'Reilly, 22, of the 1400 block of Swallow Street in , was arrested around 1:30 p.m. near the intersection of Bluebird Lane and South Washington Street. He was charged with disorderly conduct, knowingly damaging property, possession of more than 10 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fugitive from justice

Christopher K. Cooper, 37, of the 2400 block of Newport Drive in , was arrested around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of West 75th Street and Millbrook Drive on a warrant, police said. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, being a fugitive from justice and obstructing identification.

Driving under influence of alcohol

Shannon R. Klein, 35, of the 400 block of Chesapeake Lane in Oswego, was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of West Ogden Avenue and Royal Saint George Drive, police said. She was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Police said Lisa M. Gifford, 21, of the 2200 block of Waterleaf Court in , was arrested around 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Benton Avenue an North Washington Street. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of operating an uninsured motor vehicle, illegal transportation of liquor by a driver, improper lane use and violating the Lights and Lamps Act. Her bail was set at $3,000.

Driving under influence of alcohol and drugs

Ross A. Murawski, 24, of the 6000 block of Millbridge Lane in Lisle, was arrested around midnight near the intersection of North Washington and School streets, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of drugs, speeding and driving without wearing a seat belt. His bail was set at $3,000.

Minor consumption

Police said Horace Smith, 18, of the 1900 block of North Alpine Drive in Glendale Heights, was arrested around 12:45 a.m. near the intersection of North Naper Boulevard and Ridgeland Avenue on two failure-to-appear warrants out of DuPage County. He was also charged with consumption of liquor by a minor and possession of liquor by a minor.

Thursday, May 12

Vehicle damage

The owner of a 1999 Mercedes, which was parked in the 2300 block of Sedgwick Court in , reported that the back window of his car had been shattered. He said he believed it was broken between 2 a.m. and 8:15 a.m.

Possible threat

A resident in the 1100 block of Needham Road in , reported that he had exchanged threatening words with someone over Facebook. He wanted it documented because he said he believed that the suspect may come to his home.

Gas theft

Police said that between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 6:30 a.m. Thursday, a thief siphoned gas from a company vehicle that was parked in the 2000 block of 95th Street in . The gas cap had been pried open.

Driving under the influence

Lawrence W. Jefferson, 46, of Wheaton, was arrested around 1:15 a.m. near the intersection of Washington Street and Elmwood Drive, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane use.

Burglary to vehicle

Police said between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, a vandal smashed a window of a vehicle that was parked in the 1400 block of Fairway Drive in . A GPS was reported missing.

Resisting a peace officer

Police said Jeffrey Dean Mersch, 22, of the 800 block of Beaumont Drive in , was arrested around 3:50 a.m. at his home and charged with unlawful restraint and resisting a peace officer.

Aggravated battery

Sirkevin Martett Brown, 17, of the 700 block of Royal St. George Drive in , was arrested around 9:15 p.m. in the 300 block South Main Street, police said. He was charged with battery and aggravated battery with great bodily harm.
