Police Blotter: Asleep at the Wheel, Passed Out and Missing a Muffler

Friday, April 27 

Warrant arrest

William Martin Michale, 27, of the 24000 block of Walnut Circle, Plainfield, was arrested at 12:14 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Ave., police said. He was charged on three warrants related to failure to appear. His bail was $12,000.

Suspended license

  • Fred Seppel Orcutt, 24, of the 1700 block of Windward Avenue, was arrested at 8:28 a.m. at 103rd Street and Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and driving without insurance. His bail was $2,000.
  • Police said Gargi Shatish Divekar, 29, of the 1800 block of Beloit Court, was arrested at 8:40 a.m. in the 1500 block of Hobson Road at Wehrli Road. She was charged with driving without insurance, driving on suspended/revoked license – second offense, failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Juan R. Garcia, 32, of the 700 block of South Calhoun, Aurora, was arrested at 5:11 p.m. in the 4300 block of 91st Street and Wolfs Crossing Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bond was $150.
  • Police said Willie Lanute Hall, 33, of the 2100 block of Walcott Road, Aurora, was arrested at 8:05 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Ogden Avenue and West 5th Avenue. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

Patrick William Kuchenbecker, 26, of the 700 block of Buttonwood Circle, was arrested at 1:41 a.m. in the 1200 block of Oswego and River roads, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper parking and driving without insurance. Police reports said that he feel asleep at the wheel.  His bail was $3,000.

Theft

  • Louise Lofton, 49, of the 1300 block of Crab Apple Court, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue, police said. She was charged with theft. Police reports said she was arrested after stealing a wallet out a  bar patron’s purse. She was taken to the DuPage County Bond Court.
  • A 61-year-old woman in the 1500 block of West Ogden Avenue reported that between May 1, 2011 and Friday someone took items from her storage unit valued at $120, police said. There was no sign of forced entry and the woman was the only one with keys to the unit.
Saturday, April 28

Driving under the influence

  • Aisha Ali, 22, of the 2100 block of Best Place, Aurora, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. at Diehl and White Oak in Aurora, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver and improper lane use. His bail was $3,000.
  • Maksim Alksander Pakhutko, 26, of the 1000 block of Bentley Lane, Bartlett, was arrested at 2:11 p.m. in the first block of West Van Buren Avenue and South Main Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a police order, unsafe backing on a road and leaving the scene of an accident involving vehicle damage. His bail was $3,000.
  • Police said that Erin Allana Wedell, 25, of the 1100 block of Hanover Drive, Batavia, was arrested at 1:46 a.m. in the 100 block of East Ogden Avenue and North Washington Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Her bond was $300.
  • Juan Enrique Torres, 29, of the 5000 block of South California Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:01 a.m. at 95th Street and Skylane Drive, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver and improper lane use. His bail was $3,000.
  • Police said Ashley Marie Flip, 24, of the 24 West 500 block of Ohio Street, was arrested at 11:51 a.m. in the 1800 block of West Diehl Road. She was charged with illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said she was found passed out behind the wheel. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Darryl Neil Hammond, 26, of the first block of South Frontage Road, Willowbrook, was arrested at 12:45 a.m. in the 100 block of East Chicago Avenue and South Ellsworth Street, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, violating the lights and lamps act and driving without insurance. His bond was $300.

Interfering

  • Baljeet Singh, 23, of the 500 block of Hillcrest Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:30 a.m. at 95th Street and Ashbury Drive, police said. He was charged with two counts of interfering with an officer, illegal operation of sound – amplification, driving without insurance and failing to signal. His bond was $120.
  • Margarita Sanchez, 25, of the first block of Aldon Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:01 a.m. at 95th Street and Skylane Drive, police said. She was charge with interfering with an officer. Her bond was $120. 

Suspended license

Brandon D. Webb, 26, of the 2100 block of West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at West 75th Street and South Route 59, police said. He was charged with driving without insurance, driving on a suspended/revoked license, a warrant and driving a vehicle without a muffler. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Criminal damage

  • A 40-year-old man in the 900 block of Campbell Drive told police someone broke his mailbox from its mounting overnight. He heard a loud bang at midnight, police said.
  • A 43-year-old man in the 1000 block of Campbell Drive reported that someone smashed his mailbox overnight. He said he believed it happened at midnight. The value of the mailbox was $100.
  • A 44-year-old man in the 1000 block of Campbell Drive told police someone smashed his mailbox overnight, he thinks at midnight. The value of a replacement was $30, police said.

Theft

An employee in the 100 block of South Washington Street reported the theft of fragrances, police said. It was unknown how many bottles were taken and what fragrances were stolen because the sensors were cut, police said.

Sunday, April 29

Driving under the influence

  • Michael Charles Picini, 51, of the 1900 block of Carlsbad Circle, was arrested at 2:12 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Ogden and Dickens avenues, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, making an improper U-turn in the road, improper lane use and driving without insurance. His bail was $3,000.
  • Police said Carolyn F. Kelly, 39, of the 800 block of Corday Drive, was arrested at 3:07 a.m. at Rickert Drive and West 75th Street. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane use and driving uninsured. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Arnold Solis, 23, of the first block of Briarcliff Road, Montgomery, was arrested at 2:46 a.m. at Royal Saint George Drive and West Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
  • Police said Maurice K. Hill, 23, of the 300 block of Rosebud Court, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 2:37 a.m. at South Washington Street and Foxcroft Road. He was charged with speeding, improper lane use and driving under the influence of alcohol.
  • Alexander Patrick Vranek, 25, of the 1100 block of West Belden, Chicago, was arrested at 1:55 a.m. at West Ogden Avenue and North Mill Street, police said. He was charged with failing to signal, speeding over the limit, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis, driving without insurance, driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was $3,000.

Warrant arrest

  • Ryan Anthony Scott Brame, 18, of the 2400 block of Oneida Lane, was arrested at 1:24 a.m. in the 2800 block of Book Road, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant. His bail was $1,000.
  • Police said Ana Maria Barajas, 21, of the 4400 block of Blackhawk Lane, Lisle, was arrested at 2:03 a.m. in the 1400 block of North Eagle Street. She was charged on a failure-to-appear warrant. Her bail was $7,500.
  • Ricardo Orizaba-Cruz, 19, of the 2400 block of Ogden Avenue, Downers Grove, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. at North Washington Street and East Benton Avenue, police said. He was charged on a failure-to-appear  warrant. Police said he was driving without light and it was determined he had a warrant. His bail was $5,000. 

Unlicensed

Rasheda Chantel Pankey, 31, of the 1000 block of Sheridan Circle, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at East Hillside Road and South Washington Street, police said. She was charged with driving without a license, speeding over the limit and driving without insurance. Her bail was $3,000.

Theft

The theft of a city stop sign at Lisson and Canyon Run roads was reported, police said. The theft occurred sometime between 6:30 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 Sunday.
