Police Blotter: Angry Customers, Stolen Jewelry and Credit Card Stolen at Church

Naperville Police Department reports, Nov. 10-13

Thursday, Nov. 10

Theft

  • Richardo Perez, 27, of the 4900 block of Keller, Lisle, was arrested at 6:30 p.m. in the 1100 block of East Ogden Avenue, police said. He was charged with retail theft. His bail was $1,500.
  • Michael John Tyska, 22 of the 2900 block of Partridge Court, was arrested at 7:26 a.m. in the 900 block of West Bailey Road, police said. He was charged with theft.
  • Ryan James Denichols, 21, of the 900 block of West Bailey Road was arrested at 7:26 a.m. at his home, police said. He was charged with theft.
  • Kevin W. Denichols, 23, of the 900 block of West Bailey Road was arrested at 7:25 a.m. in the 700 block of West Bailey Road, police said. He was charged with theft.
  • Nolan William Hogan, 21, of the 1300 block of Rennet Drive, was arrested at 7:25 a.m. in the 700 block of West Bailey Road, police said. He was charged with theft.
  • An 84-year-old man in the 1300 block of Crystal Avenue reported that someone stole $98 between Nov. 4 and Nov. 5 5, police said.
  • Police said a 90-year-old woman in the 1300 block of Crystal Avenue reported the theft of jewelry between Oct. 25 and Oct. 26.
  • A 53-year-old woman in the first block of Ellsworth Street reported that her wallet was taken from her purse while she was receiving communion, police said. The credit card was used shortly after in Downers Grove.
Friday, Nov. 11

Warrant arrest

  • Laura Soto, 19, of the 1100 block of North Russell Avenue, Aurora, was arrested at 5:24 p.m. at her home, police said. She was charged on an original warrant for theft. Her bail was $3,000.
  • Matthew Michael Shilkiatis, 18, of the 23000 block of Royal Worlington Drive, was arrested at 6:05 p.m. at the , 1350 Aurora Ave., where he was charged on an original warrant for manufacture/delivery of 10 to 30 grams of cannabis, police said. His bail was $20,000.
  • Chanele Latrice Blalock, 27, of the 100 block of East Bailey Road, was arrested at 3:26 p.m. in the 2100 block of Citygate Lane, police said. She was charged on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. Her bail was $3,000.

Suspended license

Stephanie L. Leist, 27, of the 100 block of Gregory Street, Aurora, was arrested at 6:52 a.m. in the 1300 block of Ivy Lane and Raymond Drive, police said. She was charged with driving on a suspended license.

Possession

Justin Anthony Mau, 19, of the 400 block of Tupelo Drive, was arrested at 7:21 p.m. at West 75th Street and Fort Hill Drive, police said. He was charged with failing to signal and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was $120.

Youth problem

A 45-year-old woman in the 900 block of Rockbridge Drive reported that two vehicles has profanity-laden messages written on them with neon craft paint. The paint was cleaned off without causing any damage, police said.

Saturday, Nov. 12

Battery

Benjamin Clarence Barnes, 23, of the 2S300 block of Seneca, Wheaton, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with battery, resisting and officer and on a warrant. Police said he violently shoved someone outside of Rizzo’s and was arrested at the scene. His bail was $1,500.

Driving under the influence

  • Martin John Cocker, 36, of the 100 block of Bach Court, Wheaton, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. in the 700 block of Naperville Road and Fairmeadow Lane, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use. His bail was $3,000.
  • Sean Michael Arnold, 31, of the 22000 block of Eider Court, Plainfield, was arrested at 3:10 a.m. at North Avenue and Loomis Street, where he was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. His bail was $3,000.
  • Andrew Ashur Tamras, 22, of the 1600 block of Carthage Court, was arrested at 5:16 a.m. at East 75th and South Washington streets, police said. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control device. His bail was $3,000.
  • Brian Robert Kothe, 34, of the 6S400 block of Shagbark Lane, Aurora, was arrested at 1:56 a.m. in the 1500 block of Bond Street and McDowell Road, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and title/registration possession offenses. His bail was $3,000.

Illegal transportation of liquor

  • Christina Yu, 23, of the 200 block of Carlisle, Westmont, was arrested at 12:01 a.m. at West Chicago Avenue and South Main Street, police said. She was charged with illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver, failing to signal, not wearing a seat belt and driving without a license. Her license expired in 2009. Her bail was $1,500.
  • Ryan Michael Miser, 20, of the 1300 block of Ginger Lane, was arrested at 2:58 a.m. at South Route 59 and 75th Street, police said. He was charged with speeding, driving without insurance, driving with a suspended license, driving with an expired registration and illegal possession/transportation of liquor by a driver. His bail was $2,000.

Consumption by a minor

  • Brian Daniel Zotti, 20, of the 4000 block of Woodland Avenue, Western Springs, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with consumption of liquor by a minor and interfering with an officer. His bond was $120.
  • Michael Deonte Bradley, 19, of the 2300 block of Club House Avenue, was arrested at 6:06 a.m. in the 700 block of Inland Circle, police said. He was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor, knowingly damaging property, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. Police said he was ejected from a home and threw a patio chair through a sliding glass door. His bond was $150.

Suspended license

Eduardo Garcia, 34, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 10:37 p.m. at Fairway Drive and Allegre Circle, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper lane use. His vehicle was seized. His bail was $1,500.

Interfering with an officer

James Henry Duff, 23, of the 1100 block of West Cossitt, LaGrange, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. in the 10 block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with interfering with an officer. His bond was $120.

Criminal damage

  • Someone reported that people at a restaurant in the 300 block of South Route 59 were upset their food order was taking too long, police said. The people became belligerent and started yelling and trying to get into the kitchen.
  • A man damaged the screen on a credit card machine in the 700 block of South Route 59 because he was angry about a delay in being served, police said.
Sunday, Nov. 13

Possession

  • Marquita Marie Vierra, 19, of the 1200 block of Sandpiper Lane, was arrested at 1:12 a.m. in the 1400 block of Pine Tree Drive, police said. She was charged with permitting an unauthorized person to drive, possession of cannabis and criminal trespass to a vehicle. Her bond was $120.
  • Vernon Lee Brunt, 28, of the 100 block of East Robinhood Way, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 10:21 p.m. at South Naper Boulevard and South Washington Street, police said. He was charged with no rear registration plate, possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, driving on a suspended/revoked license and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Will County Jail.

Warrant arrest

David Michael Gonyea, 20, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. in the 500 block of North Naper Boulevard and Naperville Road, police said. He was charged on a failure to appear warrant from DuPage County. His bail was $1,000.

Driving under the influence

  • Pamela Jean Jackson, 36, of the 4700 block of Hill Trail Road, Lisle, was arrested at 3:37 a.m. in the 500 block of West Ogden Avenue and Benedetti Drive, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic signal, failing to signal and improper lane use. He bail was $3,000.

Fighting

  • Noe Antonio Gomez-Carillo, 25, of the 600 block of Meeker Street, Joliet, was arrested at 1:37 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with two counts of fighting. His bond was $120.
  • Dominic Vincent Filardi, 21, of the 25000 block of McMillinin Drive, Channahon, was arrested at 12:49 a.m. in the first block of West Jefferson Avenue, police said. He was charged with fighting. His bond was $120.

Suspended license

Khristine Bangcal Dataro, 23, of the 200 block of North Lancaster Drive, Bolingbrook, was arrested at 4:19 p.m. at North Route 59 and Ferry Road, police said. She was charged with driving on a a suspended/revoked license. Her bail was $1,500.

Theft

A man was seen stealing about 13 boxes of condoms in the 600 block of Amersale Drive, police said. The man left the store after putting the condoms inside his sweatshirt.
