Police Blotter: Alleged Marijuana Deal; Reportedly Caught With Stolen Property

Possession of marijuana

Aaron J. Zibutis, 20, of the 200 block of Bay Colony Drive in , was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Kildeer Drive and Redstart Road and charged with possession of marijuana. Police said they found Zibutis, along with another man who was driving the vehicle he was in, with 6 grams of marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, a grinder and a digital scale. His bail was set at $120.

John R. Churchill, 19, of the 400 block of Prairie Knoll Drive in , was arrested around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Kildeer Drive and Redstart Road. Police said they found he and a passenger with 6 grams of marijuana, a glass smoking pipe, a grinder and a digital scale. He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $120.

Alleged booze cruise

Police said Brian D. Holley, 48, of the first block of Townsend Circle in , was arrested around 8 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Street and East Bailey Road. He was charged with illegal possession of liquor by a driver, driving without wearing a seat belt, driving on a suspended or revoked license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. His bail was set at $2,000.

Driving under the influence

Brian E. Plesha, 21, of the 400 block of Blaine Street in Batavia, was arrested around 1 a.m. near the intersection of South Washington Street and Ford Lane, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and one count each of violating a traffic control device, possession of marijuana, improper lane use and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $3,000.

Possession of a controlled substance

Kathryn J. Swaim, 31, of the 1000 block of Celebration Drive in Aurora, was arrested around 6 p.m. at the Naperville Police Department, 1350 Aurora Ave., on an original warrant out of DuPage County. She was charged with possession of a controlled substance and illegal acquisition of a controlled substance. Her bail was set at $10,000.

Warrant arrest

Lance E. White, 34, of the first block of East Gant Circle in Streamwood, was arrested around 9:40 p.m. in the 1600 block of Diehl Road on a warrant.

Paul M. Litwitz, 53, a vagrant, was arrested around 7 p.m. in the 800 block of East Ogden Avenue on a failure-to-appear warrant out of DuPage County for criminal trespassing, police said.

Police said Mario Sanchez, 22, of the 400 block of Howard Avenue in Aurora, was arrested around noon in the first block of West Chicago Avenue on a warrant out of DuPage County. He was also charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license. His bail was set at $7,000.

Criminal trespassing with pot

John J. Chambers, 20, of the 100 block of Ashlawn Avenue in Oswego, was arrested around 6 p.m. in the 1800 block of High Grove Lane, police said. He was charged with criminal trespassing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $120.

Police said Clarissa A. Rhodes, 18, of the 6400 block of Bobby Jones Lane in Woodridge, was arrested around 6 p.m in the 1800 block of High Grove Lane and charged with criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bail was set at $120.

Caitlin M. Hoyle, 21, of the 6400 block of Bobby Jones Lane in Woodridge, was arrested around 6 p.m. in the 1800 block of High Grove Lane, police said. She was charged with criminal trespassing, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and her bail was set at $120.

Alleged marijuana deal

David J. Heidorn, 17, of the 2400 block of Wendover Drive in , was arrested around 4 p.m. near the intersection of East 87th Street and Keim Drive, police said. He was charged with manifestation/delivery of between 10 and 30 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and following too closely.

Reportedly caught with stolen property

Carmelita M. Guerrero, 22, of the 500 block of West 37th Street in Chicago, was arrested around 12:15 p.m. near the intersection of North Washington Street and West Ogden Avenue. She was found with items she had allegedly stolen from an Ulta cosmetics store in Oakbrook on March 14 and is the suspect in several other retail thefts in the area, according to the report. Police said she was charged with possession of stolen property and that her bail was set at $1,500.
