Police Blotter: Aggravated DUI, Disobeying a Stop Sign, Warrant Arrests

Driving under the influence

  • Bruce Jay Redenz, 40, of the 3100 block of Conservancy Estates Lane in Sun Prairie, WI, was arrested at 11:59 p.m. at the intersection of Champion Drive and South Route 59, said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. His bail was $3,000.
  • Bridget Marie Houcek, 27, of the 3200 block of Boxwood Lane in Aurora, was arrested at 1:14 a.m. at West Benton Avenue and North Main Street, police said. She was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of disobeying a stop sign and improper lane use. Her bond was $100.
  • Michael James Evans, 25 of the 400 block of Quail Drive, was arrested at 10:47 p.m. at East Jefferson Avenue and South Ellsworth Street, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol and failing to yield at an intersection. His bail was $3,000.
  • Eric Christian Friedrich, 36, of the 12000 block of South Elaine Drive in Plainfield, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. at South West Street and Aurora Avenue, police said. He was charged on three warrants, charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license, aggravated driving under the influence, failing to reduce speed/driving too fast for conditions and improper lane use. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. 

Warrant arrest

Daniel Robert Ossander, 18, of the 1500 block of Conan Doyle Road, was arrested at 8:31 p.m. in the 3200 block of South Route 59, police said. He was charged on a failure to appear warrant. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Suspended license

Francisco G. Calderon, 31, of the 1200 block of Kings Circle in West Chicago, was arrested at 11:56 p.m. at North Route 59 and West Diehl Road, police said. He was charged with driving on a suspended/revoked license and improper lane use. His bail was $1,500.
