Police Blotter: A Smashed Flower Pot; Missing Coffee Table

Possession of Marijuana

Nicholas J. Richardson, 27, of the first block of Sunset Drive in Warrenville, was arrested around 10:50 p.m. in the 1200 block of West 75th Street. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and driving a vehicle with an expired registration. His bail was set at $75.

Warrant Arrest

Dennis A. Hetzer, 22, of the 2700 block of Canyon Drive in Plainfield, was arrested around noon in the 2900 block of Audrey Avenue on a warrant. His bail was set at $3,500.

Maria E. Luciano-Vaquez, 33, of the 700 block of Jackson Street in Aurora, was arrested around 4:20 p.m. in the 1600 block of West Diehl Road, on a failure-to-appear warrant issued out of the Aurora Police Department.

Retail Theft

Gregory T. Burton, 22, of the 4N900 block of Meredith Road in Naperville, was arrested around 3 p.m. at Home Depot, 2920 Audrey Avenue. He was charged with retail theft and his bail was set at $1,000.

Melissa A. Guerrero, 43, of the 500 block of Sumner Avenue in Aurora, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. at Menards, 715 Fort Hill Dr., and charged with retail theft.

A Broken Flower Pot

A 78-year-old woman living in the first block of South Loomis Street reported Tuesday that someone had smashed one of her flower pots. She said she believed the damage occurred between 8 p.m. Sept. 25 and 7 a.m. Sept. 26.

Daniel L. Addison, 33, of the 5800 block of Oakwood Drive in Lisle, was arrested around 1:45 a.m. near the intersection of South Naper Boulevard and Hobson Road. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count each of driving without a rear registration plate light and improper lane use.

Robert J. Smolucha, 21, of the 3800 bloc of Gabrielle Lane in Aurora, was arrested around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of East Ogden and Iroquois avenues. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence and one count of leaving the scene of an accident with damage.

Disorderly Conduct

Sinoh R. Nagi, 39, of the 300 block of Geo Busbee Parkway in Kennesaw, was arrested around 1:15 p.m. in the 1800 block of Center Point Circle. He was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer. His bail was set at $120.

Leaving the Scene of an Accident With Damage

Justin H. Sechrest, 29, of the 1000 block of Pueblo Drive in Batavia, was arrested around 10:40 a.m. in the 5S200 block of Frontenac Road. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident with damage and failure to yield while turning left. His bail was set at $120.

Burglary from a Motor Vehicle

A 55-year-old man living in the 1000 block of Bradford Drive reported his GPS missing around 7:40 a.m. He said he believed the device was stolen between 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 and the time of the report Tuesday.

A 27-year-old woman living in the 1800 block of Paddington Avenue reported her GPS missing from her unlocked vehicle while it was parked at her residence. She said she believed the GPS was stolen between 12:30 a.m. and 7:30 a..m. Sept. 28.

Missing Coffee Table

A 50-year-old man living in the first block of South Loomis Street reported Tuesday that his son's coffee table was missing from their residence. He said he believed someone stole the coffee table between 8 p.m. Sept. 25 and 7 a.m. Sept. 26.

A 60-year-old man living  in the 1800 block of Paddington Avenue reported a GPS missing from his unlocked white, 2004 Chevrolet Blazer. He said he believed the GPS was stolen between 9 a.m. Sept. 26 and 9 a.m. Sept. 28.

A man and a 36-year-old woman living in the 900 block of Moultrie Court reported that someone had entered their unlocked vehicles. They said they believed a digital camera was stolen from a black 1997 Chevrolet Bonneville and someone tried to steal the radio from a Chevrolet conversion van.

Hit and Run

The driver of a red Dodge Charger was turning left in front of a blue Kia Sedona around 3 p.m. in the intersection of Diehl and Shore roads when an accident occurred. Police said the charger was heading westbound on Diehl Road and the driver turned to head southbound on Shore Road. The driver of the Kia swerved to avoid a collision and jumped a curb, eventually striking a light pole, and the driver of the Charger fled, police said.

Damage to a Mailbox

A 47-year-old woman living in the 3400 block of Mistflower Lane reported that her mailbox was smashed overnight. She said she believed the damage occurred between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. Sept. 28.
