Police Blotter: A Missing Wallet, Broken Spotlights and a Suspicious Incident

Warrant arrest

Kehinde Ademola Okubadejo, 56, of the 2500 block of Warm Springs Lane, was arrested at 9:31 p.m. at his home, where said he was charged on a warrant for contempt of court from DuPage County. He refused to post bond and was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Vehicle burglary

A 34-year-old man in the 1300 block of Crab Apple Court reported that his car stereo was stolen from his vehicle between Sunday and 6 a.m. Monday, police said. 

Missing property

  • A 21-year-old man reported that he believes he left his laptop in the parking lot of a BP gas station in the 900 block of North Washington Street, police said. The man said he had the laptop when he left Chicago and didn’t have it when he arrived in Macomb.
  • An 18-year-old woman in the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive reported that she lost a wallet containing a Wells Fargo debit card, American Express card and $100 in cash, police said.

Suspicious incident

A resident reported hearing a front door handle jiggle at 3:40 a.m. and then the house alarm activated at 5 a.m., according to police.

Criminal damage

Someone reported that someone broke six spotlights worth $2,000 at the entrance to a subdivision at Modaff and Knoch Knolls roads, police said. The incident happened before 8 p.m.
