Pantless Out-of-Towner Reportedly has Cameo Outside Naperville Store

Police arrest Ohio man after they say he lewdly exposed himself.

An Ohio man was arrested Wednesday in after police said he was lingering outside a local retail store wearing nothing but a shirt.

Employees at the business in the 200 block of South Route 59 notified police about the half-naked man around 10 p.m., Sgt. Gregg Bell said. The man was later identified as Shawn A. Renzo, 46, of Olmsted Falls, Ohio.

"The call was basically just referencing a man outside with no pants on," Bell said. "Officers were given a detailed description of the suspect vehicle and later spotted the suspect vehicle, being driven by Renzo."

Officers pulled over Renzo—who they said initially failed to yield—around 10:40 p.m. near the intersection of Glacier Park Avenue and North Route 59, according to the report. After field sobriety tests, they found that he was drunk, police said.

"Officers located a pair of red underwear in his car," Bell said. "He had put his pants back on, actually. However, when the officer asked him at the time if he was wearing underwear, he said 'no.'"

Aurora police had received a similar indecent exposure call earlier Wednesday about an unclothed man standing outside a mall there, Bell said, adding Renzo is also suspected as the culprit in that incident.

Renzo faces one count each of failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, illegal possession of liquor by a driver, public indecency/lewd exposure and driving under the influence of alcohol. His bail was set at $3,000, police said.
