Squinting thief

A 42-year-old man in the 1300 block of Orwell Road reported that overnight on March 29 someone stole a car stereo and sunglasses from his unlocked Mercedes Benz left in the driveway, police said. 

Next time, don't dew that

Police said a 21-year-old man was cited with theft of two bottles of Mountain Dew at a business in the 1200 block of East Chicago Avenue. 

Biker blues

A 34-year-old man in the 1100 block of Iroquois Avenue reported that between last Friday night and Saturday night his bike was stolen from a shared bike room at an apartment complex, police said.

You'll shoot your eye out . . . and that window

A 53-year-old man in the 600 block of Jackson Avenue reported that sometime overnight on March 23 a BB was used to shoot out a rear vehicle window, police said. 

Bad hair day

Police said Anesti Skenderi, 56, of the 1300 block of Crab Apple Court, was arrested at 9:22 p.m. At Walmart, 776 S. Route 59. He was charged with retail theft. Police reports said he was arrested after stealing two boxes of aspirin and one box of hair color. His bail was $1,500.
