Criminal trespass and a snack

Police said they received a burglary call to a store in the 1200 block of Ogden Avenue on Wednesday night. The store was closed, locked and lights were off, but a monitoring company reported to police that they saw someone inside the business. Upon searching the building, officers said they found Scott Massey inside the business sitting in a chair near the pharmacy. Massey told police he was homeless. He said he was in the bathroom when the store closed and got locked inside, according to reports. Police said Massey had a malfunctioning cell phone and no money, and admitted to eating two bags of potato chips. Police said Massey did not attempt to contact anyone for help. He was charged with criminal trespass to land and retail theft.
