Didn't want to get their hands dirty

A resident in the 800 block of Monticello Drive reported that between Tuesday and Wednesday two flowerpots were taken from the front of the home. The dirt in the pots was left behind.

Leaving a scented trail

An employee in the 100 block of South Washington Street reported the theft of fragrances, police said. It was unknown how many bottles were taken and what fragrances were stolen because the sensors were cut, police said.

Heard, but not seen

A 60-year-old man in the 1800 block of Clyde Drive reported his mailbox and the post were smashed April 29, police said. He reported a neighbor heard a noise at 2:14 a.m. and heard people running.

That's not going to score you any points

Someone in the first block of Center Street reported that between April 18 at noon and April 25 at 10:30 a.m. five Playstation 3 video games and a console controller were stolen from inside a church, police said. 

Multitasking

Vincent Alan Litow, 34, of the 2100 block of Bloomsbury Court, Aurora, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. in the 1700 block of Sequoia Road, police said. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, driving without a license, operating a vehicle while texting and improper parking on a road. Police said he parked his vehicle in the middle of Sequoia Road, east of Rickert Drive, so he could send a text message. His bail was $3,000.
