Maybe this will insure the cops act responsibly and within the boundaries of our constitution. How does this differ from citizens taping police activity and if so why are they still persecuting the poor woman who taped them breaking into her property without a warrant? Has anybody checked the cost of this system and who got the contract. Seems it is 10 times more expensive then need be!

Gerard the reason for the cameras is so it puts a stop to citizens that falsely complain how they were treated! Gerard the average price for cameras in a squad car is between 7,000-8,000. Plus Gerard a warrant wasn't needed to enter the rear yard!!

Resurrected the reason for the cameras is the 9 unresolved law suits claiming police abuse of some kind and the fact that their bosses can't control them other then by putting a camera on them. I believe all interactions good or bad should be documented by video and voice recording so there is no question as to who is the aggressor and who is abusing their authority. In the past it has always been the word of the police unless there were eye witnesses willing to testify. Most were scared to death and consequently many police literally got away with murder. Since the government records everything we the citizens do it is long past time we do the same to them!
