Naperville Police Seeking Leads After Local Burglaries

Police are offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for two unrelated burglaries earlier this month.

are looking for more information on two recent home burglaries, which aren't believed to be related, but took place earlier this month.

The first burglary occurred sometime between June 30 and July 1 when someone broke into a vacant home in the 900 block of North Sleight Street and extensively vandalized the property, police said. More than $10,000 in damage was done to the home, including water damage to the entire house.

Another incident took place on July 5, between midnight and 8:30 a.m. to a home located in the 300 block of Tamarack Avenue, police said. Someone burglarized the home after entering an unlocked rear garage door.

Once inside, beer, a cooler and a bottle of wine were stolen from a refrigerator inside the garage. The basement was also entered and a computer was stolen. 

On July 7, the stolen items were recovered in the 200 block of Tamarack Avenue, police said.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000.00 reward for each incident for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the burglary.
