Naperville Police Searching for Man Who Robbed Days Inn on Saturday

The robbery happened around 1:45 a.m. Saturday, according to police reports.

are trying to track down the man who robbed the early Saturday morning.

Police were called to the hotel at 1350 E. Ogden Ave. around 1:45 a.m. Saturday after a report of an armed robbery. Officers spoke with the clerk, who said someone walked into the hotel, brandished a small caliber semi-automatic handgun and demanded cash.

After taking an undisclosed amount of money, the man ran away south through the parking lot, according to reports. Police said no one was injured in the robbery.

Collaborating with the Lisle Police Department, Naperville officers set up a perimeter in the area and launched a K-9 search, but the man could not be found.

The man was described as white, in his mid-20s, 6-feet-2-inches tall, and 175 pounds. Police said the man had a scruffy beard and was wearing a dark coat, dark sunglasses and a knit hat.
