Naperville Police Recruiting for Community Radio Watch

Community policing radio group will be holding an open house at the Naperville Police Department on March 8.

If you’ve always wanted to go behind the scenes and assist local police, the Naperville Police Department is now recruiting volunteers for Community Radio Watch volunteer group.

The Naperville Community Radio Watch was established in 1982 by the police department utilizing a group of citizen volunteers who were interested in helping their community during the citizen band radio craze.

Community Radio Watch members receive specialized training from the police department. Since its inception, members have logged thousands of patrol hours acting as additional eyes and ears for the Naperville Police Department. Volunteers must be 25 years old and live or work in Naperville.
