Naperville Police: Public-Urination Argument Leads to Aggravated Battery Arrest

The Oak Park man charged with aggravated battery in the incident has previously been repeatedly arrested by City police as well.

An Oak Park man has been charged with aggravated battery for attacking a passer-by in downtown Naperville (Benton and South Webster) around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning after the victim made a remark about a passenger in the man's car urinating on a nearby building, the Daily Herald reports.

According to the paper, Paul Magee, 25, had pulled his car over so that his passenger could publicly relieve himself in the downtown; when a man walking by objected to the urination, police said, Magee physically confronted him.

"[Magee] took issue with the victim commenting, exited his vehicle and attacked the victim," Naperville Police Department Sgt. Lou Cammiso told the paper. "The aggravated battery charge is a felony and is charged based on the severity of the injuries received."
