Naperville Police Look for Local Burglar

Police are searching for leads in a case of a Naperville residential break-in.

are searching for clues to a Thursday evening burglary at a residence in the 500 block of Braemar Avenue.

They are offering a cash reward through Crime Stoppers for a tip that leads to an arrest in the case, in which someone broke in to a home through a back door, Naperville Police Sgt. Gregg Bell said on Friday.

"They passed up other things in the home and just went for the jewelry," he said.

Police said the burglar, or burglars, entered the home between 7 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. Thursday and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

The case remained under investigation Friday by the Naperville Police Department. Anyone with information about this burglary is asked to call the department at 630-420-6666 or Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006.

Callers to Crime Stoppers can opt to remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for any information that results in an arrest in the incident.
