Naperville Police Charge Man With Speeding Through Town At 111 MPH

Police said Zachary Pierce Ramirez was arrested early Saturday morning after being caught speeding.

A Naperville man caught driving 111 mph early Saturday morning also had cannabis in his possession at the time of his arrest, according to .

Zachary Pierce Ramirez, 21, of the 1400 block of Fairway Drive, was arrested at 2:08 a.m. Saturday at Oswego and River roads, police reports said.

Ramirez was caught driving 111 mph in a 45-mph zone, according to reports.

A story in the Daily Herald on April 27 said Ramirez was in a hurry because he was hoping to have sex with a girl he liked. He was driving about 104 mph near the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve and another speed check determined he was going 111 mph.

Ramirez was charged with reckless driving, disregarding a stop sign, disobeying a traffic signal, possession of less than 2.5 grams of cannabis, and speeding more than 30 miles over the limit.

His bail was $2,000.
