Naperville Man Charged After Face Slashing

The Naperville Police Department charged Andre L. Poole overnight with slashing another man's face.

A Naperville man was arrested Tuesday night after slashing another man’s face with a knife during a heated argument, according to police.

Andre L. Poole, 22, of the 700 block of Royal Saint George Drive, was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, a Class 2 Felony, the said in a news release issued early Wednesday morning.

Police said that Poole became involved in an altercation with another man in his apartment at around 10:56 p.m. The argument escalated, becoming heated and resulting in Poole slashing the man in the face with a knife.

When police arrived they found that a friend had taken the victim of the slashing to where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, the news release said.

Poole was taken into custody and the weapon was also recovered, police said.
