Naperville Home Burglarized While Owner Out Walking Dog: Police

A Naperville homeowner said jewelry was stolen from her home while she was out walking her dog last Wednesday, according to reports.

Police are looking for more information regarding a burglary that occurred last week at a residence near downtown Naperville.

The burglary occured Wednesday, Nov. 21 in the 800 block of South Wright Street when the homeowner was out walking her dog around 10:15 to 10:45 a.m., according to the Naperville Police Department. 

During that time frame, the thief or thieves stole jewelry valued at $3,000 from the master bedroom of the home. Police said there were no signs of forced entry to the residence.

Earlier in the morning, while no one was at the victim's residence, a white, heavyset female with blonde hair wearing a brown jacket was seen walking up the residence as well as approaching the front door of the home, police said. The homeowner was not expecting anyone at the residence during that time.

Anyone who may have information related to the burglary is asked to call Naperville Crimestoppers at 630-420-6006. All callers may remain anonymous. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
