Naperville Crime Stoppers Seeks Information in Vandalism Incidents

Rewards of up to $1,000 offered in two recent acts.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering two rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to arrests in two recent vandalism incidents that were reported over the weekend.

The incidents involved play equipment at Mill Street Elementary and a Naperville Police Speed Monitoring Awareness trailer.

The police department’s Speed Monitoring Awareness trailer was spray painted with numerous objects in red and blue, according to a news release from the . The incident took place between 10 a.m. July 18 and 9 a.m. Friday while the monitor was parked at Gartner Road and Pecan Court.

Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward for information related to damage to playground equipment at Mill Street School, 1300 N. Mill St. Someone damaged the equipment between 3 p.m. Thursday and 1:40 p.m. Friday, according to Naperville police.

An accelerant and fire was used to damage play equipment and graffiti also was found on the equipment.

Anyone who witnessed the crime or has any information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 630-420-6006. All callers remain anonymous. Crime Stoppers is offering rewards of up to $1,000 for information that leads to arrests in each vandalism incident.
