I'm not bullying or cursing. Actually, I think that I've been extremely assertive and courteous. But any criticism in your direction, Mr. Schilling, is deemed vile and threatening. Please use your energy to develop strong, rational arguments that are void of gratuitous emotional aggression. The public--and your supposed enemies--might take you more seriously.

also why wouldnt naperville want to prosecute someone to the fullest extent of the law? if someone was burglarizing a building he would be arrested and charged with such however in a court of law he could get it pleaded and reduced down to a trespass if the circumstances are right however NPD will arrest burglars and charge them as such as they have been doing all along so no cover up or conspiracy Gerry more along now.

CS apparently you are unaware of the rash of home break-ins, robberies, car break-ins and robberies afflicting our fair city in the past 3 years. As to house break-ins it got so bad in one part of the town a special town hall meeting was demanded by the residents and the non-police, police chief had to hold a special meeting to calm people down. Since that time there has been no status report by the city on weather the problem(s) are resolved. I think a summary report listing the incidents (numbers) by category for the last 3 years in not asking for too much. When organizations are asked to account for activity they get very creative using various words to disguise what is really happening. For example, in Chicago people with flesh wounds caused by guns were counted as lacerations so shooting were understated. Don't you think our people are just as creative? The term trespassing seems to be cropping up more and more frequently. People don't trespass for no reason.

Yes i am aware of the rash of burglaries however that AGAIN does not mean there is some conspiracy of NPD trying to disguise it is as trespass incident. Second of all your right people dont trespass for no reason however 9/10 of trespass incidents arent people who have burglary motives. I personally know quite a few of the people i see on MSM who are arrested for trespassing and know they arent trying to burglarize the building. Third trespass does not necessarily mean trespass into a building it could mean just being on the grounds of the building. Also if you read other patch articles or naperville sun articles you could see a majority of trespass charges are in the downtown area. 8/10 trespasses are intoxicated individuals who are irate and return to the bar they were denied entry into or where ejected which constitutes trespass and they are subsequently arrested. Or people like to cause distrurbances and confront people on their property causing a scene or like to loiter and the owners call the police and have them arrested for trespassing.

Interesting take on the situation. I defer to your personal knowledge of these incidents.
