This section is confusing. Why is this here? These people have not been convicted of anything, only accused. This strikes me as a terrible prejudice to them once they're released. Why should we see photos of people who have not been convicted of a crime? This section should be removed, in my opinion.

Once one is arrested its a matter of public record. These low life's weren't arrested for nothing.

I agree. Every time I see this section I think that the Naperville patch is just a rag.

Hi Brian and Katie,
Thanks for your thoughtful responses. We chose to run this feature because it's public information and people have a right to know about what is happening in their neighborhoods. We've received numerous responses from people in other communities where we've run this feature who are pleased that we share the information. It is also important to remember that people are innocent until proven guilty, which is why we include the disclaimer below the photos. Collin Czarnecki

I find it interesting that the majority of arrestees posted on Mug shot Monday are black, Hispanic or Asian with a few dysfunctional inbred whites mixed in. Maybe our laws are too strict and it's time to lower the bar so those lacking common sense can get a break! Naaaaah!

I have to say I was shocked to see this section as well, but as a new arrival in Naperville, I find it helpful to know what kinds of crimes are being commited in my area...I still feel conflicted every time I read it, though.

how interesting that you mention common sense...are you going to start putting it into practice any time soon?

I myself have found this enlightening. If anyone objects to these fine citizens being put on public display, do something about it! I know show up to court as a character witness for them, or take them home with you. Lmfao;-)

Why not post any pictures or articles on the DUI cases that get dismissed in court? Naperville is well known for that. A blood test is required for those who are arrested for driving under influence of drugs. This feature is unbelievable & it's obvious you run it for attention.

Naperville Tutoring has brought my ACT score so much higher than I had anticipated coming from 2Read More previous ACT prep classes. I feel so much more prepared after 2 weeks with Naperville Tutoring than from former months of ACT PREP practice. The 2 teachers on 1 student structure truly pushed me to work harder than ever and the work is paying off. By exposing me to so many different kinds of problems and giving me new tips and tricks, I know I ready for test day, June 8, 2013.
